It would be helpful if we could do some testing on players’ parents, to figure out which ones are the narcissistic, over-controlling ones who think they should be the coach.

Read the parent's previous social media posts and profiles. At least in the current situation, it can be seen on his Facebook wall. Rants and raves...the targets are different but if you trash some, it is not a stretch to figure out coaches would be a target when things don't go smoothly.

Over the last 3 days, there have been an average of 45 players per day in the transfer portal. The issue: Coaches can’t go out and meet with the transfers, and the transfers can’t go to campus, meet coaches, players, work out with team, etc. Gonna be a lot of mistakes made.

Quarantine cooling off period. Player must wait 15 days after season ends (Final Four) before entering transfer portal. Just spit balling here. Give a coach a chance to visit with each player before they enter the portal. WSU was committed to them, the players need to ‘jump through some hoops’ before being released... I don’t understand all the new rules, but it’s too freakin’ easy to transfer.

Participation trophy culture the last 10-15 years got us here. Kids want the glory the easy way.

it's a problem. OTOH, Coach could boot any player he wants after one year. It;s not a four year guarantee on either side

I know Marshall has said many times that he leaves redshirt decisions up to the players. I wonder if the new transfer rules will make guys more likely to accept his recommendation to RS since they know they can transfer and play immediately?
