Coach Weber won conference championships and conference coach of the year awards at each of the three schools where he has been head coach. He led his teams to 13 NCAA Tournaments, with Illinois playing in the championship game of the 2005 Big Dance. He was also the consensus 2005 national coach of the year.

At Kansas State in his first eight seasons as head coach, Weber led his team to two conference championships and five NCAA tournament appearances. His Wildcats advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament in 2018 and he won Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year award in 2013.

Let's see if Marshall can accomplish those feats in the AAC, which is still not on par with the Big 10 and Big 12 but definitely a step up from the Valley of Mediocrity.

(this is a youtube link to a fun line from Cannonball Run...whenever someone thinks they're ALL THAT, a la Riley Gates, I always, ALWAYS think of this line. I was hoping for a gif, but couldn't find one.

You'd just have to watch and see if you recall it. Although the young'uns on here will probably be like "what the hell is a cannonball run?"

I personally don't care who they have as a coach.

Bruce Webber is the new era Eddie Fogler. He always followed a successful previous coach and won with that coaches players/recruits. He was very successful at Southern Illinois and was hired to follow BILL $ELF at Illinois. Bruce had three very good years with players recruited by Bill. The fourth year started a decline to 2013 that let to his being hired by k-state after the departure of Frank Marten. Had a good year his first year with Frank's guys and started downhill until a resurrection in 2017-2019 followed by this year dead last. So yeah I can see why you get all excited about Bruce. By all accounts he is a very nice man and probably would do well at Furman.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Don't forget Marshall hasn't accomplished the feat of finishing dead LAST in a conference. Weber's got him there.
