    • ShockerFever, I think you are pretty good and I do enjoy your stuff. I do disagree on one thing. You say this is a message board and people 1) state their opinion, 2) criticize, and 3) speculate. I see it differently 1) not opinions/stated as facts,) demean/degrade, and 3) doom and gloom. Now, I will say that not all do this, but it is pretty consistent. Again, I think we are all Shocker Fans and we may disagree on what happened, but for some to go "mean spirited" is uncalled for. WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED - it's all assumptions.

There are several listed in the portal that say eligible immediately and a few that say sit a year. I assume many think they won't have to sit.

I believe this is based on if they graduated or not. If graduated, they are eligible immediately.

Arizona State, Wichita State, Oregon, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Iowa State are among the group that have placed a phone call in this evening for Louisville grad-transfer Darius Perry, a source tells

            • With the new transfer rules making it easier to move on I'd say, GENERALLY speaking, about 300 teams have now
become minor league teams for the blue bloods. Need to take a step back to the old rules or the top 25 teams every
year will just pick and choose to fill their "holes"

              • I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think many of you need to take a step back. On both sides. Gregg Marshall, warts and all, would be a step up coaching wise for more than 90% of teams out there.

It is also apparent that he isn't for everyone (media, fans, players, refs etc) he is who he is. That said, he probably needs to adapt, especially in a conference where your baseline for recruits is top 150. In the Valley, any overlooked, no star, chip on his shoulder, diamond in the rough player would bust down walls for whatever coach took a chance on him. Not so in the American. These kids were recruited across the board, by big schools and small, even bluebloods. Their expectations are different.

All of that said, in year three, Wichita State was probably making the dance, playing in a tough conference, with and against better athletes. That wouldn't have happened in Marshall wasn't a pretty damned good coach. Those that want him gone or think he's over his head are crazy, those that think there aren't some concerns are equally crazy. You all need to take a step back and quit bitching.

Lastly, if I ever see another Shocker fan post about how they think they blew it by leaving the Valley, I just may vomit. Seriously. If your idea of getting into the dance is being the biggest tadpole in the smallest puddle, well have at it, but that is lame. As Ric Flair would say, "If you wanna be the man, you gotta beat the man!” And you can't for one second that win or lose, the entertainment of seeing grown-ass men playing for Houston, Cincy and Memphis isn't a hell of a lot more fun than showing up on a snowy Saturday to watch the Shockers put up 80 on Evansville.

Okay, now everybody can pile on me, but seriously, it ain't perfect in Wichita, but it ain't bad either.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

                    • My prediction, IPBC might yet be another passenger on the train out of town.

What I Would consider doing at the Center position:
                      - Sign Grad Transfer (Kevin Marfo)
                      - Sign JUCO Big (???)
                      - Redshirt Morris Udeze

Gives WSU 2 Seniors, 1 Junior, and affectively a 1 (frozen) Sophomore.

                      - KM starts and sets the tone
                      - JUCO signee is first of the bench
                      - AM becomes a good rotational piece and leader on the bench
                      - MU has an opportunity to player and grow against men older then him (and work on that God forsaken thing he calls his shooting form)

                              • I don't mean to hurt feelings but Fernandez couldn't guard me even with my hemiroids and a sprained ankle.
Kick 'em square in the grapes! (that can be very painful)
