  • It really doesn't matter anyway now because for us to get in, we're going to face Cincy again, and if they beat us a 3rd time, they're getting in ahead of us, no question about it. I actually think we had a better chance of beating Tulsa, beating whomever in the quarters, then losing to Houston and getting in, than now where we're going to have to get to the finals to get in.

Oh well, that's why we joined the league.

Check out their schedule. I've never seen a team be in and win so many OT/1-possession games in my life. They are several seconds away from being a 6th place AAC team on the NIT bubble. I keep thinking their luck is due to run out at some point. Hopefully in the AAC tourney against us.

      ... No really, deuces.

A loss would have done something for their resume. I was rooting against Cincy, even though I knew a loss would eliminate one conference team from any possibility of NCAA shares, which is not a good thing.

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

If we can’t beat Tulsa, Memphis/UConn and Cincy we don’t deserve to make the tournament.

Lomax would be nice too. We’ve kinda been on the wrong side of a lot of bad luck in terms of recruits.

Noting a Ja Morant and/or an Obi Topin wouldn’t fix!

Isn't this the year that Shamet and Reaves would have been Seniors? That MIGHT make a difference in the W/L record this year.

Problem was that neither of them were PG's and Marshall needed to use them at PG. Shamet went to the NBA and Reaves went to OU. Marshall didn't have a PG on the roster, but had two guys who "could play PG", but neither of them wanted to do that.

maybe, but I don’t remember him being a pg that could facilitate an offense

Finally, we got some very good results that favored the Shockers. Beat Tulsa, and we will be on the right side of the"Bubble" at the end of the day.. Then move on to Fort Worth and the AAC and lock down the "At-Large" invite.

                          Might?? Surely you jest!

Maybe neither was a PG, I’m really not sure exactly what that means, but both were good shooters, passers, and dribblers. IIRC our offense was really good with those two and Conner at guard. Defense lagged that year though. We’ve swung the other way. Hopefully we can find a way to improve on offense without sacrificing on the other end.
