now I'd say he is about 75-80%. Hard to get to 100% with game trauma every 3-4 days. Looked like he tweaked it
yesterday. A three quarter strength RB is still a pretty good player but to go all the way we have to be on ALL cylinders
and we can't be that team without him healed up.
Baker said he was about 90% for the Indiana State game. I think he knows.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Our offense often goes flat, FVV needs to score 10-16 points every game. I like how Carter is stepping up, and scoring. Our overall 3p fg% is not good enough right now for tough post season play. I like how Lufile is becoming more dominant in the paint. Cotton and Wessel need to contribute 6-8 points a game.

        New game plan:

        1) Everything goes through GodFredGod
        2) We win

I believe that WSU is one perimeter scorer away from really being a threat.
In the tournament, Wiggins or Wessel is going to have to step up and be a
scoring threat for WSU to have a good chance at winning it all.

Right now WSU looks like a good sweet sixteen team.
Right now WSU remind me of Gonzaga from last year.
Did you notice In St playing a little off Cotton around the 3? I thought I noticed several times where they kind of dared him to shoot a 3 and he didn't.

I think Gonzaga would have been good indeed in the sweet 16, and likely good enough in the elite 8 to win the regional had they survived our game. And hard to call that game anything but a toss-up.

I thought the way he was pulling on his toes and from what the announcers were saying that he just had a cramp.

Compete to finish 4th or 5th in the Big XII, really? And I won't even mention the obnoxious d slobbering over KU and degradation of the team he claims to love.

                        This is my thought.

I think we have one of the best starting lineups in college basketball. Our starting lineup is good enough to win a national championship.

However, I think even the best teams are going to need to rely on their bench once in a while to actually win a championship. If it wasn't for Hancock coming off the bench and hitting shots like crazy against us, no chance Louisville wins their championship. Hell, that might have been our championship. That's just the value of having a bench guy that can hit shots.

We don't have that. We need a bit more offensive consistency from Wiggins, and we need Wessel to get over his mental block. Or we need Derail Green to leapfrog Wessel in the depth chart. Wessel is playing hard and putting in valuable minutes, but he's just an offensive void at this point. I can definitely imagine Wessel breaking out going into the tournament and giving us that scoring option off the bench we need ... but that's only because I don't see the reason for it to begin with. 0-15 from 3 is insane. In 232 minutes played this year, he has the same amount of points scored as he had in 99 minutes his first year, and less than half of the 44 points he had in just 152 minutes last year. Just across the board we need someone other than Baker/FVV that can hit better than 31% from three.

The good thing is that I think things even out over time. Wiggins and Wessel are not as bad offensively as they're playing right now. Theoretically, that means they're both going to get hot at some point. For us to be at 19-0 and still with several members of the team playing well below their true level is very good. This team can still be much better than they're currently playing ... we're a long ways off our ceiling.

It goes flat eveytime Fred takes a seat on the bench. We have had more shot clock violations this year already than in the past 2 or 3 years combined. I will bet virtually all of them were with Fred on the bench.

All valid points. The good news is we have a high ceiling and plenty of room for the three big men, Weseell, and Wiggins to improve over the next 12 Valley games. The other four starters are big time players in big games, and I don't think that Early, as good as he has been, has even scratched the surface yet.

It's really pathetic, but not surprising at all. For those of you wondering what this is about since the "quote" feature only has the most recent post, our dear friend KCShox posted on the KU message board that he thought WSU would finish 4th or 5th in the Big 12 and we don't get 4,5 star recruits blah blah blah blah blah.
