I don't understand what a Junior is leveraging. If there is firm slotting for Juniors and Seniors at later rounds at 137K to 142K and at a maximum of 100K from rounds 11-40, there is little leveraging to be done and it shouldn't be very much different if you are a Junior or a Senior.

Chase Williams in the 25th to the Padres.

I'm surprised Tinkham is still on the board.

Juniors have the option to go back to school, thus they can demand six-figures to sign. If the team doesn't pay, they'll go back to school. If you are a senior, a team can offer you a take-it-or-leave-it number like $1,000. If you don't take that, you won't play affiliated ball, have to go down to independent ball to play professionally, and go from a longshot to reach The Show to being a no-shot.

Looks like the Royals may have decided to call it good at the end of Round 36.

Edit: Nope. KC back with pick in Round 38. They either passed in Round 37, it was a glitch in the reporting system or for some reason they did not have a pick in Round 37.

Glitch. They picked Jacob Ruder from Nixa, MO in the 37th round.

I am glad Jenista did not make the board today. He and Dugas should be a lot of fun to watch the next few years.

Shocks should have some pretty motivated seniors next year in Anderson, Tinkham, Hayes, Rader, Mucha and Kirk and maybe Kihle, Hilliard and Schwanke.

I was surprised that Tinkham and Hayes weren't drafted.

Isaac Anderson taken 3rd from last at 40/1212 by the Dodgers.

Did Tinkham tell everyone he wasn't going to go pro this year or something?

Besides having to wait for final decisions, is this about the best possible draft scenario we could have hoped for?
