From purely an RPI perspective, no, not really. Case in point, RPI dropped 7 spots to 143 after the win.

WSU case is going to be built on winning the conference and probably having to win the tournament. Cincy is a road series that can be a sweep for conference play. So this is an important series, and WSU needs to sweep.

I like the way you think, but short of something like 19-5 in conference and 5-2 non conference (including beating OSU on the road at least once) which is totally inconceivable, I think any hope of an at large is gone (even that would be 38-17 and probably outside looking in). Our concern needs to be building confidence and staying healthy. We need to win 3 straight in Clearwater with our rotation guys and have all but about Adler, Tolle and Candiotti available for Sunday's championship game. Favors starts us out with 3 then Miner for 3 and Mulhollon for 1, Henry for 1 and Snead throwing about 104 to close it out.

It almost seems strategically better for us for ECU to dominate the conference and set to host prior to tournament where winning that would be secondary.

Maybe resting a couple starters to be fresh for regionals.

            Go Pirates.

Tolle reminds me of Tobey Smith.

Third inning and we’re into the Cincinnati bullpen.

It’s also not the end all be all but records do factor in. Gotta snag the wins while we can

                              High scoring affair.
