It's kind of odd....I didn't really think the guys played well on Sunday when the finished the UMass sweep (UMass completely gave us that big inning) then clearly the OU was a mess for both teams. Pitching was elite Friday but the bats etc left a lot to be desired. Yesterday was a mix but certainly not great. David Herring made a couple of stellar plays but kicking that ground ball in the 8th opened the door for a mess of an inning that just wasn't necessary at all. 4 gift runs.
So the guys have found a way at least 3 times in a 6 game heater without being super sharp. It's always good to win. It's better to win when you're challenged and that's happened a few times now, and that's different than the past, so that's good.
Are we waiting for the other shoe to drop and lose some of those games now or have they learned and adapted and getting to understand they are better than they've showed and really start to take off?
