Casey continues to have a great summer. His team leading batting average is now at .331, his team leading Home Runs are at 9, team leading walks at 23, and team leading rbis are 29.
He is not only on the all star team in one of the top summer leagues but he will also be participating in the home run derby.

Looks like they did decide to shut down AJ Ladwig after a poor start as a teammate of Casey's at Eua Claire.
His last outing was on June 21st. He was 0-4 with a 7.58 ERA. He had 1 good outing and 3 very poor outings.
I think shutting him down was a good thing. Hopefully, he just had a tired arm and is not injured.

Cale Elam is also having a very poor summer for Falmouth in the Cape Cod league. He has pitched 13.1 innings in 11 appearances giving up 23 hits, 13 runs (12 earned) while striking out 7 and walking 2. He has an 8.10 ERA and 1.92 WHIP.
A little worried about Cale. Thought they might shut him down after the way they worked him last year. Hopefully, he is OK and can get straightened out. I would be surprised if they don't shut him down for fall ball.

In Alaska Eric Harbutz is hitting 0.261 (23-88) with 3 HRs and 15 RBI for the Matsui Miners. He has struck out 16 times and walked 6 times. His OBP is 0.305 and his OPS 0.737
Micah Green is have a similar summer for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He is hitting 0.259 (22-85) with 1 HR and 11 RBI. He has struck out 19 times and has walked 11 times and also has been HBP 4 times. His OBP is 0.318 and his OPS is 0.735. Micah has stolen 11 bases which has not seemed to be a strength for his as a Shocker.
Bob Arens, also with Matsui, is below the Mendoza line at 0.186 (8-43). Nuff said.
I thought Foster Vielock was supposed to pitch for Matsui this summer but I don't see him in thier stats nor in any of the ABL stats. Could be he/coaches decided to rest his arm over the summer.Last edited by 1972Shocker; July 23, 2012, 04:37 PM.
