NIL money had nothing to do with his leaving.
An “Old West” Texas analysis and summary of Mueller report and Congress’ efforts in one sentence:

"While we recognize that the subject did not actually steal any horses, he is obviously guilty of trying to resist being hanged for it."

So who’s he mad at? New Coach? A.D.? Shocker Fans? Former Coach? Wedge? Everyone?

        Tolle isn't Shocker material.

        He can't throw a wiffle ball through a hula-hoop.

He couldn't bat a beach ball.

He's not the type of winner we need.

        He's ... he's ... he's ... gone ... forever.

Why does he have to be "mad" at anyone? He waited for the "dust to settle", see who would or would not be here, and then made a decision on who he wanted most to further his future career.

Who knows how nice a "perk". He may have been offered more than TCU did elsewhere.

Ok you say the word or sentence that fits here. Unhappy? Reasons? Nobody’s said why? What does dust settle mean? If it’s not NIL money, then why did he leave? One guess is he wants to stay close to home, but it’s only a guess. Will he be drafted higher at TCU because he is going to be drafted either way. There has to be more to it than that, if he “loves” Wichita.

There’s a better chance to play in the College World Series next year… it could be that simple.

All I can go by is the order of events, his reaction to those events, combined with his statements. While everyone else on the team was entering the portal (that in itself does not mean someone is leaving), he stayed quiet and out of the portal. He didn't do anything after Hibbs didn't get the job, he didn't do anything after Green was announced, and I don't believe he did anything when Pelfrey and Sirianni were not retained. I think, but could be wrong, he didn't go into the portal until Claggett was announced (anyone feel free to correct any of this). This all leads me to believe that NIL money was not the primary reason. You can consider all of this as "dust settling" and reasons for leaving.

I also do not believe he went to "the highest bidder" but weighed several factors in his choice of school. The schools themself, location, coaching staff, opportunity to showcase himself, and, yes, NIL money. I believe that the NIL money was not primary.

No one has argued for your interpretation of reality harder than me. Overall, that is the catalyst.

Payton on the other hand didn’t fall into that. He wanted to play for Wichita State. Loved Wichita State. Wanted to stay at Wichita State. All of that can easily be confirmed.

However, through the process, Wichita State became not the place for him. He is an incredibly humble and appreciative young man. He will not say why, but know this:

                      a) There is a reason he didn’t enter the portal when everyone else did

                      b) There is a reason he did enter the portal when he did.

Holmes says if it was NIL, he would have entered right away.

Sherlock says that if WSU were the place for him, he would have stayed.

Watson says if both of those are true, something happened or didn’t happen between those two scenarios that impacted his decision.

You finally looked on the mirror. Good job.

one of these days you and others will stop making up arguments,

Until then, go Bruins. That’s your life lesson.

Craig Porter just signed an NBA contract for $550k. There are over a thousand college basketball players that would love to be where he is now yet many of them are making more than his NBA contract in college. Something is very wrong with the state of college athletics.
