All I can go by is the order of events, his reaction to those events, combined with his statements. While everyone else on the team was entering the portal (that in itself does not mean someone is leaving), he stayed quiet and out of the portal. He didn't do anything after Hibbs didn't get the job, he didn't do anything after Green was announced, and I don't believe he did anything when Pelfrey and Sirianni were not retained. I think, but could be wrong, he didn't go into the portal until Claggett was announced (anyone feel free to correct any of this). This all leads me to believe that NIL money was not the primary reason. You can consider all of this as "dust settling" and reasons for leaving.Originally posted by Shockm View Post

However, through the process, Wichita State became not the place for him. He is an incredibly humble and appreciative young man. He will not say why, but know this:
a) There is a reason he didn’t enter the portal when everyone else did
b) There is a reason he did enter the portal when he did.
Holmes says if it was NIL, he would have entered right away.
Sherlock says that if WSU were the place for him, he would have stayed.
Watson says if both of those are true, something happened or didn’t happen between those two scenarios that impacted his decision.Comment
