  • After further reviewing video, the conference said a buzzer-beater should have given Boise State a win over Colorado State. But due to NCAA rules, the game result will remain.

Did they run out of beer?

          • But they are 4th in a "Major" conference. So I'm sure they will get an at-large bid.

The new BE coat tail draggers, and the holdover/leftover old BE members, have started to develop their own lexicon, much like a geographically-isolated people group from 300 years ago or something. Their favorite invented, proprietary term is "Power 6" or "P6". You know, because a group of smallish, non-research, no football, private schools have something in common with the profile of the typical B10 or B12 entity. It's pretty funny.

The long-term future of the BE can't be very bright. They are mostly all smaller schools, with small alumni numbers and very limited fan base volumes outside of such, and almost no one cares to watch their games on TV. That's not a model for sustainability.

Hahaha, I love it! The P6 thing, the need to CAP LOCK BIG EAST every time it's mentioned are two of the funniest things they spit out. It actually makes them look very small time and insecure to be doing these types of things. I guess it's cute foreshadowing though.

Have you seen their 100-page threads trying to pump up FS1 as the 8th wonder of the world? Those are really fun too.

I think there were actually more Loyola fans last night than that masterpiece.

All of those schools switching conferences has yet to show any promise. The New Big East is a jealous midget, all the Big 12 defections have fallen flat on their faces with the exception of Texas A&M. The ACC just seems over loaded with normally dominate teams during basketball season and is only represented by Clemson in football. The Pac 12 became more lame.

Maybe UNO was playing at home last night?

But they have some really big arenas to play in.

                            • A power outage hit Creighton University late Tuesday morning. Campus buildings west of 24th Street were without power and crews are working to get electricity restored.

The cause of the outage is not yet known. Steam was coming from the ground and back-up generators are running as students continue to take midterms.

Part of Burt Street is blocked off on campus.
