Are we allowed to root for Creighton as they host #6 Villanova on Tuesday night? They wouldn't complete their role in Evansvilling the big east if they don't pull off a ridiculous upset.

Speaking of Evansville, they did a solid job Evansvilling UNI this year. Came into the MVC strong, immediately knocked off UNI, then proceeded to go worse than .500 in conference play and it wound up costing a GREAT team a share of the regular season title. Classic Evansville.

We've been over this -- there is never ever a time when you root for Creighton. Even 10-15 years from now when they come to CKA for a pay check and their poor play hurts our RPI later in the year you still don't root for them.

That's called a real rivalry.

It's part of what makes college sports more fun than the professional leagues.

I'm a rational numbers guy, too, but at some point you just have to embrace the fun of it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Creighton lose all year, but I am rooting for them Tuesday. It's a home game, they are playing a shred better lately (now in ALMOST last place instead of ACTUAL last place which is a triumph for them and a testament to how horrendous Marquette is), and winning would give #6 a terrible loss right after WSU moved into the top 10.

If CU beats Nova, which won't happen, but for the sake of wishful thinking, and we win 3 in St. Louis, WSU will steal Nova's 2 seed. This is probably the game that is required for us to have a shot at anything better than a 3.

Slow your roll people, remember, Creighton is still playing with mid-major MVC type players. Until they cycle out these players and bring in Big East type talent, they'll continue to suck. At least that is what Creighton fans are telling themselves.
