Virginia Tech's athletic director says talk of Seth Greenberg being on the hot seat is crazy and Seth will be coaching in Blacksburg next season.

Seth Davis said the Illinois AD was asked about a vote of confidence for Bruce Weber. All he would say was that Coach Weber would be evaluated at the end of the season.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I just hope Coach Ford decides to stick around for a few more years. But Illinois (whomever the coach is) would be idiotic not to try to come get him.

He's not ready to lead that program, but whomever they hire, or if they keep Weber, that person would be a FOOL not to hire Dana, if they can get him to leave THE Wichita State University.

                  Or in other words, +1

Thats what i meant by "whoever the coach is".

I get a vibe that we could keep our coaching staff intact one more year if the right opening doesnt come for Coach Jans.

I like the thought of that. I also don't like the idea of losing more than one assistant at a time.

Jans getting a head job is only a matter of time. How long we can hold on to Ford is the big question. Especially if the Illinois job does open up. There are others who recruit that area as well and would love to see them go with whoever the coach is than Ford.

Replacing two would be a lot of work and we don't need anything interrupting our reloading process right now.

Some names being mentioned for a probable opening at South Carolina are Davidson's Bo McKillop, Shaka Smart (VCU), and Kermit Davis of Middle Tennessee State.

Names being tossed around for a possible replacement for Chris Lowery include Bruce Weber, Bellarmine's Scott Davenport, Tennessee assistant Kent Williams and Wagner assistant Bobby Hurley.

That would be more supid than thinking Marshall to Nebraska. FWIW really doubt Sadler gets the axe.

Oh and speaking of Gregg, besides SC, probably the only other current potential openings IMO that would make ANY sense at all is Virginia Tech and maybe LSU.

LSU huh? Well if he is going to leave, I could deal with that.
