KU is in better shape than KSU. I doubt the Big 10 would want KU as that is a football driven conference. KU finished dead last in the Big 12's all sports cup if I'm not mistaken. They bring absolutely nothing to the Big 10. However, the Big East and that basketball heavy conference could pick them up which would make the most sense. However, if KU ends up not being affiliated with a BCS Conference, they can kiss Bill Self goodbye. He won't coach a mid-major program.
KSU is stuck like chuck. Mountain West anyone? Let's invite them to the MO Valley.

If A&M were to leave, the Big 12 could consider Houston as a replacement to the TV market.Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

Wouldnt that be awesome if KSU had to join the valley along with another team, maybe OSU or KU to make it a 12 team conference. I would love to hear the Mildcats fans moan and complain lol
But it would be nice to have the remaining big 12 members and Creighton, Missouri State, WSU and maybe Drake to form a new conference.
I think the valley as a whole could potentially become stronger and maybe become a bcs league in the future with us getting football back.

All of the talk on KC Sports radio is that aTm is just tired of being in the shadow of Texas.
Also, the NCAA made a ruling this week aimed directly at the new Longhorn network prohibiting college sports networks from broadcasting HS games. Apparently, Texas (Longhorn network) was planning to do this, and would broadcast the games of their (targeted) recruits, even if that recruit lived in New Jersey or another state, which could have given them a perceived advantage in recruiting.
Their is no talk of any teams other than aTm leaving the B12.
But even by then, Texas A&M had started to voice displeasure about the Longhorn Network, the ESPN-owned cable station devoted solely to University of Texas athletics.
The network, worth $300 million over the next 20 years to Texas, had announced it would show Texas high school football games, and A&M was the first Big 12 school to object, citing a recruiting advantage.
Later, the network announced plans to broadcast a second Texas football game on its network when the schools were led to believe there would be only one game shown.
It was then that Loftin said his school found the news “troubling” and along with the high school games had “created a considerable amount of uncertainty.”Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

If the big twelve falls apart it does not bode well for WSU. That will help cement the creation of 16 team super conferences. All others looking in will eventually be a lower level.
Anybody who thinks KSU, TT, OSU, ISU, BU will be in trouble is kidding themselves. They have football and will land in a football league and continue to at least play at the highest level. Even if that means conf USA or MWC or whatever, they will all be fine.
Wichita State on the other hand is completely at the mercy of what others do.
