I found this to be a bit funny. After talking about the need to go though the UN for years before taking action and condemning Bush for acting "unilaterally", it appears Obama is preparing to do the same thing in Syria.

Personally, I don't give a damn about the UN or what they think of any particular situation. It's just another bloated beurocracy that serves little real service. At the same time, I'm not a fan of launching any sort of offensive in Syria as neither side is worth supporting.

France will only do something if the US does something, maybe.

Germany has said they will only give moral support for any military action.

Great Britain will not participate but says somebody should.

Israel has decided to keep quiet and see if Obama is true to his word or not - how he responds with Syria will guide them with Iran.

NATO says there needs to be a strong response, but see no role for the organization unless Turkey is attacked.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia and UAB have offered basing to the U.S. to attack Syria.

New Zealand has been asked to provide moral support but are still undecided and will likely put it for up to debate in Parliment

Canada is a "reluctant convert" in providing moral support

Jordan will not allow basing for an attack and worry the Syria war will blow over into their borders

Arab League has said the response should be through the U.N. and deterrent measures should be installed.

Russia/China are blocking any U.N. Backing

In Syria - the Syrian government is mocking obama, and the rebels are angry with Obama.

CORKER: And this authorization will support those activities in addition to responding to the weapons of mass destruction.
DEMPSEY: I don’t know how the resolution will evolve, but I support –

From watching the Paul/Kerry video on FB earlier, it sounds like they're trying to say they'll just lob a few missiles at random targets and feel good about themselves. This is how we dealt with groups like Al-Qaeda for years prior to 9-11. We'd just lob a couple of missiles at a random tent in the middle of nowhere and call it a retaliation. But we all know that nothing ever came from those "attacks" other than spending millions to accomplish nothing. Honestly, that would be the best case scenario with Obama and his incompetent yes men he surrounds himself with. However, I think he knows the world is laughing at him and know that he's a weakling and I'm afraid he's going to try and show that he can be tough and get us over involved in a civil war that we have no business being involved with

Since the 'anointed one' opened his yapper once again and made the line in the sand blurb, he now feels he has to do something to save face.

Exactly what will be accomplished by lobbing a few cruise missiles into some abandoned buildings in Damascus?
Anything Assad has even remotely connected to a WMD has been moved and in a bunker somewhere in the sand.

However, it will give them (and their buddies) the go ahead to fire away at Israel and start who knows what.

And who we are assisting? Al Queda backed rebels who detest our very existence. The same animals who were witnessed eating the hearts out of killed Syrian soldiers.
Yea, our kind of rebels.

All over Obo and his 'we just can't stand by and watch this happen' stance.

I hope you find it amusing after we spend countless billions, who knows how many lives (because once this starts, eventually 'boots will be on the ground' there) and start who knows what in the Middle East over your boy and his ego.
