Trump's policies were largely conservative during his presidency, although a little mixed. He selected Conservative Justices on the SCOTUS. He lowered taxes on businesses so they would come back to the U.S., and create jobs. He was anti-world government. He was willing to use Tariffs as an economic tool against other countries (Iran, China, Russia, threatened Mexico, etc.), which isn't a Conservative trait, but for his four years, he was doing it in a controlled way. He was unwilling to give away large amounts of money to the states until the pandemic. Democrats are still giving away large amounts of money to the states. He was willing to spend large amounts of money on infrastructure bills, the pandemic give aways, etc. but on most things (infrastructure bill, etc.), the Democrats wouldn't go in with him (they did on the Vaccine, and pandemic give aways) because they didn't want to give him a win. Mostly Conservative during his Presidency. I thought he was effective with China, and they were a little scared, worried, or wary of him. But his belief that Kim Jung Un (not sure on spelling) from North Korea had a great relationship with him was a little off kilter. I don't think that he did much with N. Korea, but they didn't do as much testing on nuclear weapons during Trump Presidency.
However, he had been mostly for relatively big spending during his life before he was elected President. He wasn't a Conservative during that time.Comment
