Better hope for 2 things....First, that a rate cut keeps this from being a full blown recession and second, that Harris and the Dems don't have control of all 3 houses come next year.

The Executive office has absolutely ZERO to do with the stock market w/ respect to the recent economic news. A future recession was almost guaranteed when the Fed (rightly) raised rates the fastest in over 40 years.

Every single time in history where the Fed raised rates, the stock market made a new low AFTER they started relowering them. You can almost set your watch by it.

Another aspect that affected volatility was after the Trump-Biden debate, then the shooting. Wall Street was rotating out of "Biden" stocks and into Trump. Now that folks woke up to Biden dropping out and Trump still being a wacko asshole, there is some rotation back the other way. Trump was a shoe-in for the presidency for a couple weeks.

I'm guessing Elon is spending most of his days looking for a way to pivot. I still can't understand his thought process in being so loud about his Trump support. A MUCH smarter move would have been to send Trump a check for a billion, along with an NDA, and to publicly remain totally quiet. His customer base is like 90% Libtard.

He's rich in money, not necessarily emotional control. Maybe this was just Elon's inner autist coming out.

Somebody needs to tell him he needs the debate, and the more, the better. He need Kamala to talk, and more the better.

Democrats have a winning game plan, and they are taking all of Trump's momentum away.
Minimize Kamalah speaking and maximize the campaign's natural bumps.

Phase 1. Slow coronation of Kamalah without her having to say a word to get a bump where the race is competitive - mission accomplished

Now, they will move into Phase 2 and 3

Phase 2—rollout of her VP. They are slow-walking this for maximum play. The only talking by her will be her introducing her VP. He will probably sound more presidential than her and will get them another bump. Again, you will not hear Kamalah speak on anything substantial.

Phase 3 - Official Coronation - week-long show that the production will get her another bump. She will only have to talk when they have her read the "unity speech."

After these two bumps, she will be tied or probably ahead slightly. Then they only need to go to a four-corner offense and run out the clock.

Trump lost to Biden.

IMO, the election will not be won on policy debates; it will be won on who is hated the least.

Trump needs her to be forced to speak on a national stage and go on one of her "word salads"; otherwise it will be a lost opportunity.

Right now, neither is in a strong position, but Trump's attack on whether she is Black or Indian - is a losing strategy. His choice of VP is also damaging.

Serious question here as I haven't seen anyone discuss.

Could the RNC not have pulled Trump from contention after his felony conviction? I don't want to hear discussion on the merits of his conviction as that's been discussed in depth on this board already. If they would have replaced him with Haley, Haley would absolutely own Harris in a debate and win the suburban women. I know there have been serious questions around the RNC leadership and it sure seems like they missed a golden opportunity.
