  • Trump has nowhere near a majority of support in the country. What I don't know is if they will still vote for him because... Biden. I will vote for someone else in the primaries, but definitely vote for him if he is the nominee. If the GOP doesn't want him, then the need to get the primary down to him and one other person yesterday. Thats the only way he doesnt get the nomination.

In the end, I don't know if it matters. It just seems like there is a bigger machine working to stay in power that is in the interests of the machine, and enough dolts willing to vote for it because they like the scraps.

    • Didn’t Biden win the fewest counties ever and still win the popular vote? The blue city shitholes want to bring the rest of the country down with them due to a false belief that the real money to make a difference is elsewhere.

in fact, that money is going to the pockets of the people they keep electing to fix said issues.

          • Former President Trump’s refusal to sign the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) loyalty pledge is putting the organization in a bind as next week’s GOP primary debate approaches.

“It’s a distinct possibility that the Republican nominee for president could simply decide to shun the RNC itself,” said Brian Seitchik, a Republican strategist and Trump campaign alum. “When a candidate refuses to play by the rules, it obviously weakens the RNC’s position.”

The pledge states that the candidate will support the eventual nominee of the party’s primary and that the candidate will not participate in any debate the RNC has not sanctioned. The pledge is a part of the criteria Republican candidates must meet to qualify for the first presidential primary debate set for Aug. 23.

            • I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind on Trump, but if you think he’s going to win in 2024, it’s anything but a sure thing. 35% of Americans (70% of Republicans) believe in Trump and are part of his Republican base. 20% of Republicans won’t vote for him. Independent voters don’t like him and won’t vote for him. IMO, He could lose to Biden and likely would to another good Democrat candidate. Here is the evidence on Why.

New Fox Poll says 73% of ALL Americans think Trump did illegal or unethical actions.

              53% think illegal actions

20% say he did unethical things.

50% think Hunter did illegal acts.

I should keep quiet, but here goes.

                1) You can't trust any poll these days (to some extent)

                2) I don't know everything it says, but if only 50% of Americans think Hunter did illegal things, then we're permanently broken. That number should be 99%, owing for some tiny rounding errors. It is beyond any reasonable thought process that Hunter has does illegal things, not the least of which is that he wanted to plead guilty of doing at least some illegal things. The quantity of stupidity in our country today is borderline unfathomable.

                3) Trump is is own worst enemy. He could probably beat Harris (electorally) but would lose the popular vote (not that it matters). But that's it. He won't beat Biden, and that's not because Biden isn't incompetent (he is) or that he doesn't suck (he does) or that he's not massively corrupt (he is) but it's because of Trump.

                4) There is no doubt the swamp (DC) has to be drained to return sanity to our country. The big problem isn't Trump, it's the DC power structure. Trump was probably the only single person with a chance to drain it, but as I think we all get now, it's bigger than even him.

The GOP SHOULD win the Senate back in '24. They SHOULD pick up seats in MT, OH & WV and have very reasonable chances in AZ, ME, MI, NV, VA, WI & PA while only really defending TX, MO and FL (everything else looks pretty safe). If they only get 1 (and that would be awful) plus the 3 likely, and hold TX, FL and MO then it's 53-44-3 (basically 53-47). But if Trump runs, all bets are off. My guess if Trump runs it's either 51-46-3 or 50-47-3 and the Dems hang on to control.

Trump could show how much he loves this country by throwing all his weight behind the best candidate in the primary, and the election would be 3-6% route for the GOP and a Senate around 56-43-1 with GOP Senators in MI, NV, FL, VA, OH, MT, WV, TX, MO & WI.

But this peer-reviewed journal article by some finance nerds in the UK proves that according to a well-known forensic accounting technique, that across the board the battleground states had consistent "irregularities" in Democrat voting results, while the Republican voting results did not.

Moreover, two swing state definitions are considered: narrow (Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) and broad (additionally including Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Virginia). Table 3 below reports the findings, highlighting the consistency of detected irregularities for the two swing state classifications this study employed. Democratic votes are anomalous for swing states in general and for swing states won by Democrats, with no such tendency observable in battleground states won by Republicans.
Compare that list of states to yours.

                    Agreed with your comments:
                    Three things
                    - Polls are not to be totally relied upon. However, where Trump’s Base is concerned, they’ve been pretty consistent.

                    - I don’t think Trump can win a General Election because he just has too many negatives. If 20-25% of Republicans won’t vote for him, and Independents overwhelmingly won’t vote for him. The only chance he has is if Democrats dislike their candidate so much, they just don’t vote. Independents would need to be unhappy with the choices and decide not to vote too.

-Regarding your Hunter Biden comment, 50% (likely mostly Republicans/Independents) thought he did illegal acts, and 36% said he did unethical acts which equals 86% who are negative. The 36% most likely would be mostly Democrats supplemented by people who aren’t paying attention.

                    • The reason the GOP won't win anything is because the American public is ignorant and stupid. Both by design, created by Democrat held institutions, implemented over decades. Primarily education, media and pop culture. Education, teaching garbage, media, transcribing a garbage narrative, and pop culture, making garbage hip. This has rigged every election for the forseeable future in the Dems favor. It is patently obvious at this point. The average voter, given a choice between a criminal corrupt geriatric asshole dumb**** and a pompous ass who proved he is 1000% better at the job will take the former. Why? In a sane world, this would not make any sense, but here we are. They have no problem believing Trump is a criminal, just because, yet have no interest in holding Biden to the same standard because of their sub-conscious bias against anything right-leaning. This is a mental state that cannot be overcome. Add in the ever increasing welfare state and just the general belief that the government is supposed to solve all your problems and there's just no way. No way in hell.

I used to get POed and feel defeated about all of this as well. But I decided at my age, POed wasn't the way I wanted to spend my final few years of life. So now I just laugh at the idiots and hope we can turn things around. If not, I will milk the government for anything I can get and laugh at the young idiots who pay 50-60% of their income to keep me going. I figured the young are the ones who overwhelmingly vote the socialists in, so let them find out the hard way.

Pretty much my attitude as well. Life is too short to get too pissed off. Be happy when you can. Live your life.

                            • Vivek Ramaswamy is a good candidate. He is smart and thinks quickly on his feet. I'm not saying I like him better than others for President, but his views are very good. Most people don't know him, so he needs to get known quickly.

Here is his 10 Commandments that he builds upon for the 2024 Presidential election. He is definitely a Conservative, and is interesting.

                              1. God is real.

                              2. There are two genders.

                              3. Human flourishing requires fossil fuels.

                              4. Reverse racism is racism.

                              5. An open border is no border.

                              6. Parents determine the education of their children.

                              7. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.

                              8. Capitalism lifts people up from poverty.

                              9. There are three branches of the U.S. government, not four.

                              10. The U.S. Constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history.

50% don't think Hunter has broken any law. If they don't think Hunter has broken a law, I am fearful your number is off, by a huge margin.
