Yes, don't be an uninformed idiot and blame it on the Government. There's statistics out there to show the US's standing in many covid related issues, that bear out our Government did just about as well as they could, maybe better, as suggested by the experts, which got us where we're at now. There's an incredible amount of wasted effort being expended in this forum attempting to answer a very simple question while staying married to their political biases:

How should we proceed in the face of a novel and uncertain threat?

But in this fine forum, only a handful of people can come to that conclusion. Is it a coincidence that they are also the most politically unbiased as well?

So you want to shut down and stay at home and many of us disagree and say that we need to do rational things and allow people to work from home if it works for them or find solutions that make sense but don't require them to shut down the economy.

Nobody listens to that dishonest 1/2 Snowflake dingle-berry. He's firmly entrenched with the group of mongoloids who say the reason the economy is the way that it is now is because of his President. Yes, he's that stupid. His friends don't even go out with him to bars any more because they got tired of saving him from ass-whippings. Not to mention his posts are unreadable and overly long, sans any flicker of context. Something about, "If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance..." Patently worse than a useful idiot, because he's a -ahem- believer, working on the side of right. Just like antifa. ; D

Even fauci knows the President has performed with valor and courage for the American people, in spite of what stupid would hope you believe. Who on God's green Earth would say otherwise, other than msnbc? But no, it's not political.

ESPN has a story reporting that they may have found a link between Myocarditis and COVID. Big 10 has multiple athlete diagnosed with Myocarditis and may have driven the B10 to make their decision on football at this point.

Thank you, I appreciate that info, and someone else mentioned that also. I researched that a bit and there are quite a few dots to connect there with a WIDE range of outcomes.

And again, yes, people will get this virus, and some will get sick.....a few will get very ill. Fewer still will be young people. Myocarditis can be extremely serious or it can be simple and go away. I have no idea what these 10 players are dealing with, and hopefully they'll all be just fine....but it's likely it's being exaggerated a bit. Especially when it comes to young people.

Just saying there's more to learn here, and I highly doubt whatever people they are listening to have all the details either. But it sounds scary.

Wife had a coworker come down with Covid from a family member. He has worked in what is effectively a closet with 3 other people on a rotating basis. Everyone wore masks. No one else got sick. Anecdotal? Yes. But there are a number of these anecdotes. Where you are cooped up with others everyone should wear a mask. Large gatherings and small spaces should be avoided. Other than that, get on with life. Schools, assembly lines, packing plants are problematic. All windows and doors at schools, groceries, stores, restaurants, etc...should be open with fans creating positive airflow into the hallways and blown out. Take as much classwork outside as possible. All well and good until late October...

If your employment situation is such that you cannot effectively socially distance you have a couple choices: 1) You can quit, or 2) You can keep working.

There will always be collateral damage in a dilemma as horrific as we find ourselves in. Nobody is going to have a perfect solution to keep everyone safe. But not allowing the citizenry to recreate and socialize in poorly ventilated buildings is low hanging fruit.

The school situation is very problematic. Childcare is a MAJOR problem and people have to work. I do not have a solution as of yet. I am confident though that school reopenings will cause another large infection spike heading right into flu season. We are headed for a ****-show of epic proportions.

I can't tell if the world is laughing at us or sympathetic. I guess it really doesn't matter.

Uncontrolled pandemics are a cost of freedom. Freedom still wins in a landslide. Brighter days are ahead of us.

It can be quite dangerous bringing a psychotic down from an episode - even a sleepwalker requires care. I did more than my part to help keep the community "awake". The siren songs of both political party's outer fringes can be particularly seductive to the malleable.

We aren’t that far off. I will continue with the anecdotal to support you here. We have had 16 positives that work in my poorly ventilated building out of 1500 on site employees. None of the transmissions were person to person at work. We all wear masks 100% of the time and distance where possible and do contact tracing. It’s not possible to socially distance for about 1000 of the folks.

If we can prevent infection in this factory, why can’t it work in the schools if similar rules are in place? We have a cafeteria for crying out loud.
