I better not hear another squeak out of you when I say...

    COVID IS REAL,...denier

Amazing how fast a conservative can become a bleeding heart when it fits their agenda. Oh my, the poor depressed football player committed suicide because he couldn't sit in class. You're not even a serious person MKR. Replace "remote learning" with any other social injustice and you're flinging spittle all over this forum in feigned outrage. Wake the **** up and realize you're hanging from a set of strings.

So you are saying that this life doesn't matter? What a selfish stance. Does his life matter as much as 95 year old grandma? Shame on you Clod.

    • That’s the whole problem with the radical left movement that Cold now idolizes. Certain lives matter more than others. It’s pretty sick how far it’s come along.

Ha! This totally reminded me of my favorite line out of any boss I ever had. Twenty years ago I worked for a division of PepsiCo that sold food services to what is now Yum! (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and others) and we spent a chunk of the week down at Ross Perot's headquarters looking to buy a crap-ton of computing services from them.

A large part of our requirements and their pitch revolved around redundancy. I mean their backup generators had backup generators and their network topology had more feeds than we had hairs on our head. So round and round we went about geographic redundancy this and fault tolerance that and disaster recovery if our disaster recovery went tits up. And the price went up. And up. And up. And up.

At some point my boss and I just shook our heads and he said, "we're only making ****ing tacos". That's one of my favorite lines of all time, and I think it about it when the temptation to over-engineer starts to creep in, killing the effort to bring products to market quickly.

But I digress you nazi, scum-sucking, liberal, commy, pinko, Pelosi loving anti-Trumper.

We are going to market with a new product. This new product is a self contained tamper-evident pre-filled syringe. One of the launch units had a visible defect that we had to identify, which required us to disassemble the unit. This thing has more parts to it than my glock. It’s pretty nifty! Cost to manufacture is $12 per unit. It is replacing a pre-filled syringe that loads into a reusable plastic holder. Total cost for the replacement, if you didn’t reuse the reusable holder was $1.75. Same drug. The new one will save you about 4 seconds though.

No, just be consistent. If you're crying over the football players being forced to play hooky, you need to cry over global warming and the spotted owl too.

Sitting at home instead of going to school is not worth killing yourself over lmfao. I would have paid good money to participate in this pandemic back when I was 16. I would have been rockin' out with my cock out just like everybody does now.

So global warming and Covid are one and the same? Seems legit.

How insensitive and hurtful of you to suggest his life doesn't matter and that it's nor worth killing yourself over. We need to be aware of each individuals feelings and cares when it comes to Covid. After all, we're all in this together...

You’re coming off as an insensitive, two-faced douche, per usual.

Hope your mom or dad don’t decide to off themselves in the near future. But that’s just collateral damage, amirite?

It's very similar in that you have a large population that continues to ask questions and want to be convinced before they make the 'sacrifices' (which those in power will not have to bear) they are told are necessary to overcome the problem. And, of course it's all rooted in 'science' (which is settled, mind you). And those that will be called on make said sacrifices are again belittled as deniers and imbeciles, if they go against almighty science and try to live their lives. Funny how that is always the case.

The real problem, not unlike climate change, is that you are asking the population to pay a very heavy price in order to overcome a relatively unscary problem. People are willing to risk getting this virus in order to go have a beer at a bar.

Let that sink in for a minute.

People would rather have that beer at the bar and risk getting covid as opposed to not having the beer in the bar.

230,000 people have died in this country because of this virus and people still aren't ready to sacrifice to stop it. Why is that? Is it because they are stupid? Or is it because they are willing to accept the risk? For sure, the government hasn't made the case that it's scary enough to outweigh their financial security. Trump obviously didn't make it be as scary as some people wanted it to be and he is not the president anymore. And there are probably millions of people that aren't in financial ruin right now because of that decision. Is that a bad thing? If a million more people had gone broke, could we have saved 100,000 lives? Where is that science? That's what people want to know.

And 'science' doesn't change that fact. And no one is going to go poor so that they aren't called a denier. So, the left should probably get a better burn.

So maybe we need to find a better science that can't be disputed and is more clear and to the point. Or maybe we have that science, and it just isn't as scary as some people want it to be.

Or maybe America is saying, 'Give Me Liberty, or Give me Death'.

I don't know the answer, but neither does anyone else, so when I hear science, it doesn't lift my skirt.

I've been trying to get some free time so I can address this post. What a mess!

Listen to me carefully: the science is real, Covid is real, all these "power grabs" are happening temporarily to save lives and maintain our teetering healthcare system. Covid-19 is absolutely nothing like global warming. To conflate the two is to indicate to me that you haven't done your homework and you're not a serious participant in the debate. The costs of this pandemic are being born by every single one of us from peon to President of the United States. He lost his job because of it.

People are willing to get this virus for a multitude of reasons; the ones I am most concerned with are those who were duped by the Trump Administration into believing this was a Nothingburger when he himself knew that not to be the case as early as late January when he was interviewed by Bob Woodward. Those are most of who are fueling the Covid Denying Delusion. The former president made this political from the start and it continues to be so today. It saddens and infuriates me greatly. This virus could have united us with act after beautiful act of kindness. Instead we become more divided with each ensuing Covid death.

We are in a massive economic and mental recession now BECAUSE Trump didn't make it "scary" enough. The countries that took this deadly serious from the start did a vastly superior job over the same period of time. Forcing this virus into submission doesn't require a year-long lockdown, it requires short and intense lock-downs coordinated by one agency. Very similar to a military conflict. You don't invade Iraq and tell Kansas to attack when they want and Texas to meet us when they can; you take all the resources and manage them from the top. Trump tried to pander to the Republicans by allowing the states to handle their own crises. That decision alone is one of the main reasons we are in this mess. It should have been the CDC and the military all across the U.S. in a coordinated effort to track and attack infection flareups.

230,000 have died? Try 300,000. And more like 330-350,000 if you measure by excess deaths.

Then it sounds to me like you're part of the problem. Well, the good news is the truth you seek will be made abundantly clear to you sooner or later. Unfortunately if we all had to learn things the hard way, this country would be down a few million by now with a few more on the way. You take your time my friend. Come to your own conclusions. But be very thankful there are those of us that live in reality, believe in science, and are doing our best to help our fellow man (and country) instead of craning our necks looking for black helicopters and making selfish excuses.

I come off as two-faced because you can't comprehend my logic which I assure you is beyond reproach.

You are attempting to compare a man dying in the hospital from an infection he did not seek to a young athlete that decided to off himself because, and I quote: " he couldn't grapple with remote learning".

My advice to you is to go grab another fresh towel out of the linen closet and get back to flogging the log while reading Fox News Propaganda. You're wasting your time coming at me with your weak smack.

Yay, I got cold to ignore me. I’ll chalk that up as a W.

But of course, when you start struggling, you deflect away from the point, which in this case is right out of the libtard wheelhouse “some lives matter more than others” and now have sidestepped out to it being “weak smack” from me that is just too below you.

                        • These are the last two days of deaths in the States. Maybe not very scary to ShockerPrez... but it is what it is. To be brutally honest, flashy death statistics grab all the headlines, but what really scares me are the folks that survive and will continue to suffer and need care well into the future. Who is going to pay for all this? Many families will be ruined because of ICU stays and chronic health issues. Covid may be the straw that kills any chance of us avoiding nationalized healthcare.

Funny thing... we're a little over 4% of the world's population but today we were 25% of the world's Covid deaths. Embarrassing.
