I've worked in the kitchen, but never in the front of the house. For those who have please correct me if I'm wrong on this. I've always thought that if you go somewhere for just drinks, customary tip is $1 per drink (unless at "mixology" type place which would warrant more). However if food is also ordered then tip in the 15-20% range. AeroPlaines is a brewery...no food. So a $5 tip could be in the range of what was ordered as craft beer tends to be a little more expensive than Busch Lite. That rug really tied the room together.

Go in and look at the section of the bar where the bar maids can lower the bar to wheel chair height so anyone in a wheel chair, especially wounded veterans, can sit at the bar and have a beer like everyone else. He still gets my business.
And, by the way, if ANY of you complained about Kentucky fans trying to ruin John Higgins business (Yes, i know - this isn't a false claim), then FU for trying to do the same to the owner of this bar that probably had no hand in this comment.

Who knows, you might go over there and find it's a great place to eat. If I were up there, I would definitely go there and eat, I just wouldn't drink any beer."You Just Want to Slap The #### Outta Some People"

For Father's Day I just took my dad around to some of the Wichita micro-breweries here in town. Our second stop was Aero Plains Brewery. When ordering beer I asked to speak with the owner. I was introduced to Lance. I told him I was here because I heard about Aero Plains from the "Tip Tirade" that happened with one of his employees a couple of months back. He said, "oh yea, I remember that. Believe me that guy had some consequences from that." He then told me how much he loved Wichita. Loved Wichita State and then told me some of his back story. Then afterwards he gave a tour of his whole facility. Absolutely amazing! I am an Enterepreneurship grad from WSU. I love small business. This guy is doing things right. When I left I asked him, "Lance, what can I do to help you?" He responded, "just keep telling people to come see us." And that's why I write. This guy is a marine, an H1N1 survivor, and a Wichitan with the heart and character of a WSU shocker. If you like beer go visit and drink a pint. Have him tell you his whole story; it's incredible! Tell him your here because of Shockernet and because you support local entrepreneurs. He made a believer out of me. Oh, and their IPA rocks the house!
