You have a very odd take on many things, Mrs. Lawrie.
I like winning, I like getting better, more talented players. I have a very serious bias against anything from KC, Lawrence, or Topeka.

As I said earlier, he is a spoiled punk who somehow got away with injuring Escobar
MLB gave him 5 games (which for a reliever, is basically a game). ..........for threatening to kill somebody

If this threatening to kill then Kazmir is attempted murder. What is surprising is that Oakland got off without penalty, even after Oakland players said their would be blood. Both teams deserve punishment.

Herrera threated to hit him in the head with a 96-mile-an-hour heater next time.

Another come from behind victory with Moose with clutch 2 out hit in the 8th to lead the Royals to victory.

... vs. the Twins closer. This team is getting more swagger every day.

                That's what Lawrie says.

The more likely explanation for the head-point is more of a "think about it/that" expression.

I'm going to be nice and refrain from saying what I would like to say about any anti-Royals or pro-Lawrie fans and defenders. It's not worth getting a ban over.

uh.......that's what everybody says, unless you go with the "look at my sideburns, I'm spongeworthy" explaination.

Go ahead, get a 5 game suspension. I'm not pro-Lawrie at all. Nobody is defending him.

I don't think it can be argued that Lawrie isn't tough. But what he did to Esky was dirty. His excuse that "he was on top of the bag" is much worse than when a pitcher says "it got away from me".

That said, there were mistakes made by Royals players. Ventura should have kept his mouth shut after plunking Lawrie. It would have been over at that point. If Herrera really wanted to respond to Kashmir hitting Cain, it should have been an off-speed pitch at the feet. The jawing on his way off the field was too much, too. I don't know which explanation is true, but he put it out there for interpretation. The five game suspension is fine, and he knows it. The appeal is to give Holland time to get over the pec strain, so they aren't without two of the HDH trio.

What is bothering me more out of all of this is the bigger picture of why KC players have been targeted. It seems other teams don't like the way the Royals "play the game", which is code for, stop having fun and celebrating after a good play. This idea that players should just jog around the bases, walk into the dugout with a couple of high-fives is silly. It's not like the whole team is going out and meeting players at home plate. (I wonder what they think of how college players "play the game"?) Maybe guys like Albert Pujols are just jealous of others who have fun while they win.

Notice the poor umpire took the ricochet off Lawrie's mouth and went down himself. That's why I never would have been a good baseball player. You couldn't pay me enough to stand in a batters box and try to hit off a guy that throws 90+ with a lack of control.
