Not much. He tackled a guy, stood up, and collapsed

So possible neck or spinal injury, or heart? Or unknown at this time?

Unknown. Doubt neck. It was just a normal looking tackle. Not helmet to helmet.

            Game suspended for tonight.

I have a buddy who is a cardiac nurse. He guessed that it was a cardiac contusion.

I’m old enough to remember when Chuck Hughes of the Detroit Lions collapsed and died on the field in Chicago…1971.

If you watch the plays slowly…before the going to the ground, at the initial contact, the helmets do hit. Not saying that this is the cause, but there was contact to the head.

I’ve heard that he did have a heartbeat but wasn’t able to breathe on his own. This would diminish the aneurism possibility a bit.

Interesting as well, that he was taken to University of Cincy medical center. Not the closest to the stadium…however, it may be a higher level trauma center.

Reading that his vitals have returned to normal but has a breathing tube and put into medically induced sleep.

Of course, intubation can cause vitals to get to a normal state. This is going to take time to find out just what the situation is.

I thought it looked like he took the helmet hit to the chest. It wasn’t vicious or out of the norm by any means. Maybe it was just hard enough and just at the right spot to cause some kind of heart trauma.

                                ... No really, deuces.
