  • At least he has given up on the "life long Republican" bit. Now we need him to realize nobody cares about his top 10 smartest posters bit, as if that is something to strive for in life.

I gave up on being an intelligent poster years ago.

      • If there are any readers of or posters to this thread who have an open mind and are truly intederested in hearing all valuable and credible veiwpoints on the United State response to the Covid pandemic than I would highly recommend you view the Pandemic Response Panel put toghether by Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson. Warning thought that this is a 5-hour long video and you may find some of the facts provided and opinions expressed somewhat disconcerting. The actual roundtable discussion starts about 40 minutes into the video linked below:
        .
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis, hosted a panel session in Washington, D.C., Monday morning featuring critics of the COVID-19 vaccines and the federal government's response to the pandemic, including Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. Peter McCullough.

Thank goodness for Rumble. A long overdue Second Opinion. Thanks to Senator Johnson although it is probably too little, too late.CECEO

Note that the heads of Federal health agencies and the CEO's of the vaccine manurfcaturers or their representatives were invited to participate but all declined.

BTW, all the panel members seem to be very highly credentialed and exprerienced.

              • As discussed many weeks ago, omicron was going to see a dense rise in cases and hospitalizations, but it was going to pass very quickly. As projected before, it looks like this thing will fizzle into it's "simmer" state some time in the Spring, unless some unlikely R0 >> 12-15 variant comes along.

Cases and hospitalizations have also peaked in Sedgwick County.

Yeah, I think they peaked too. I wanted to see today's ICU number to be sure, and it did dip again.

                      • Ivermectin shows ‘antiviral effect’ against COVID, Japanese company says

Japanese trading and pharmaceuticals company Kowa Co Ltd on Monday said that anti-parasite drug ivermectin showed an "antiviral effect" against Omicron and other coronavirus variants in joint non-clinical research. The company, which has been working with Tokyo's Kitasato University on testing the drug as a potential treatment for COVID-19, did not provide further details. The original Reuters story misstated that ivermectin was "effective" against Omicron in Phase III clinical trials, which are conducted in humans.

                          • I think this is the result and a new symptom of covid.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

                            • New Study on Ivermectin ‘Should Convince Any Naysayer’: Dr. Pierre Kory

The Brazilian city of Itajaí launched a program that gave ivermectin to any residents that wanted any. The period that was studied was from July 7, 2020, to December 2, 2020.

Researchers found that the program, which had over 100,000 residents participate, was linked to a 44 percent drop in COVID-19 cases.

Approximately 3.7 percent of ivermectin users contracted the illness during the trial period, compared to 6.6 percent of residents who didn’t take the drug.

The program was also associated with a statistically significant decrease in hospitalization and mortality.

The peer-reviewed study was published in Cureus on Jan. 15.
