I also enjoyed the 60m hurdle race with Nikki and Taylor Larch-Miller running side by side. Taylor set the All-Time MVC record in the prelims running an 8.21. In the finals Nikkie got off to just a little better start and won in a time of 8.22 with Taylor 2nd in 8.30. I think Taylor may have hurt her leg a little bit she seemed like she was hurting a bit at the end of the race.

Nikki finished in 11th place with 4,088 points just 1 point behind the 10th place finisher and a little short of her PR of 4,121 points.
Breanne struggled a bit today and finished in 16th place (out of 16 competitors) with a score of 3,705. Well below her Shocker school record of 4,133 points.
Nikki actually performed to her #11 seeding and Breanne performed in line with #16 seeding but I'm sure she had hoped for a better performance.
In any case, always great to have the Shocks represented at a NCAA National Championship.
BTW, both Nikki and Breanne earn 2nd team All-America honors.Last edited by 1972Shocker; March 10, 2017, 08:59 PM.
