Alex is now at 1,608 career points and trails Allison Daniel who is #1 at 1,638 career points by 30 points.

You might look at the fact that Alex has played in 128 games in her career and Allison only played in 110 games in her career and that mostly accounts for Alex's moving in on the All-Time Shocker scoring record.

However, Allison was 712 of 1,741 (40.9%) from the field in her career and 214 of 336 (63.7%) from the FT line.

Alex is 605 of 1275 (47.5%) from the field and 364 of 456 (79.8%) from the FT line.

Alex has had the advantage of having the 3-point shot but that has not been a big part of her game. In fact, she is only 34 of 124 in her career on 3-pointers for 27.4%.

Alex has averaged right around 10 field goal attempts per game during her career. Not exactly a volume shooter.

If you take Allison's attempts (FG & FT) and apply Alex's shooting percentages to the same number of attempts and only score all FG makes at 2 points each Alex would have 1,922 points.

If Alex had taken the same number of shots & free throws per game over her 128 games that Allison averaged over her 110 games and again using Alex's shooting percentages and only counting all FG's at 2 points Alex would have 2 ,237 points.

Alex also has a career freethrow percentage of .798, which is 3rd all time and just .001 out of a tie fro 2nd all time at WSU. She is also 3rd in freethrow makes and 5th in attempts.
I can list those if you like. I had considered it but my posts are kind of cluttered as it is. I figured those shooting % are to some degree reflected in her scoring statistics.

You see a lot of unusual looking shooting techniques in Women's Basketball. Not so with Alex. Her stroke is picture perfect. I don't know how long she will play beyond College but I can see her shooting only getting better including developing more of a long-range game.

I don't know if they need to be in the list itself, but I thought it was worth adding to the discussion. Sometimes you see big numbers but it doesn't tell you anything about efficiency. Alex has both.

Absolutely. See my post #77 above which also says a lot about Alex's offensive efficiency.

Alex only needs 2 more rebounds to move into a 3 way tie for 7th all time. I'm guessing that is the only category she will move up in rank other than games played.

That's the way it looks to me as well. What I would really love to see from Alex to close our her career would be to lead her team to a 30 win season. That will require at least one win in the NCAA Tournament (assuming they get there which I think will happen). If the Shocks don't get an invite to the NCAA they will most certainly be invited to play in the WNIT.
