Alex Harden with 28 points on 10-14 from the field, 8-13 from the line plus 5 rebounds, 3 assists and no turnovers in 43 minutes. Normally, she shoots her free throws better than that but her legs had to be feeling it late because her 43 minutes were not standing around in the corner of the court.

Alex led the Vallley in minutes played in conference games at 35.3 mpg. Over her last 5 games Alex has average 39 minutes per game.

I would have loved to see that last shot in regulation by Alex have rolled in instead of out to save her and the team another 5 minutes on the legs.

We do know Jaz Gordon is fresh and assuming she isn't injured she might be a secret weapon the Shocks will have tomorrow especially in the 2nd half when everyone's legs may be starting to feel it.

The women had only 3 turnovers in the game. I can't remember them ever having less in a game. I do remember a few years ago that it seemed they always had 20-25 turnovers each game.

Creighton and IllSt in quite a tussle. IllSt was way ahead at the half. sCUm clawed back to take a lead. Now going to overtime as well. Inept referees took several minutes to set-up final 4.1 seconds.

Clock issues have been a staple of this tournament. Of course, when have you seen the Valley not give Creighton a break on the clock.

Overtime in this game is the best outcome the Shocks could ask for. One or two more OT's would be exciting don't you think.

I think the women need to win tomorrow to make the dance. The announcers mentioned during the game that the MVC might be able to get two teams in. But with Creighton losing and probably making it in with their RPI, then the Shockers need to win tomorrow's game. I don't think they'll let three MVC teams in. Then again they might not let two teams in.

Actually probably would would have preferred Creighton in the finals. ILS is pretty athletic and Smith and Puni are a load inside. Candace Sykes maybe the only other player in the league that can match Alex Harden's combination of size and athleticism and Jamie Russell is probably quicker than any of our guards.

Should be another close game. I agree with @1979Shocker: that the Shocks need to win to get in to the big dance.

Shocks will need a really good team effort to win this game.
