I'm seeing twitter reports that Emma Wright of Phoenix has made a commitment to Shocker Volleyball. Per maxpreps.com she is 6-2, graduates in 2016, and has a national ranking of 145.

Texas has been, and always will be, fertile recruiting ground for Lambo but he seems to have extended his reach now to just about anyone, anywhere.
I don't think we have had a lot of players from the East coast but apparently that is changing. We have no one east of Illinois on the current roster. Interesting to see Lambo extending his recruiting reach over the past couple of years.Comment

While obviously not as high profile as basketball, with social media lately we usually know before signing day who has committed. I Googled Emily and Wichita State and none of the top results included both.
That's at least two east-coast signings this fall (Virginia and Delaware).Comment

According to Shocker Volleyball twitter account it looks like Meghan Grimes from Maize signed today? Anyone know anything on this? I believe she is a DS. I watched Maize play a few times this year but don't really recall anything about her.Comment

Sounds to me like Lambo may take another look at the 6-2 in the next year or two depending on when he thinks Jordan Roberts will be is ready. From his comments it sounds like he thinks she is already D-1 ready.
Alex Koon sounds like she will be able to compete for playing time from the get go as well. A powerful 6'3" six-rotation player maybe? Very intriguing.
Emily Panchak sounds like an excellent athlete who Lambo thinks he can train and develop into a high level player.
Meghan Grimes sounds like a young lady who is much better than she thinks she is.
Emily and Meghan will in all likelihood redshirt next year as Lambo can afford to be patient with these players with what we have coming back next year.
