  • Commits and NLI's Signed

I did my best to track down a little about each of them, but it's not much to go off of. I just figured this is better than nothing.

    Gabi Mostrom - @Flabi_Gabi
    5'8" - Parkview (MO)
Played every position in high school, but I'm assuming she will follow in Dani's footsteps as a little.

    Regan Peare - @ReganPeare
    6'0" - Andover (KS)
Played OH, S, and MB in high school.

    Rylea Kilburn - @rylea_jaide_k
    6'4" - Amarillo (TX)
Listed as a MB for her high school.
Check out Rylea Kilburn's high school sports timeline including updates while playing volleyball at Amarillo High School (TX).

    Kara Maleski - @Maleski67
    6'5" - Adlai E Stevenson (Illinois)
Played as an OH. I'm assuming she was also a MB, but I only saw OH listed.

    Shimen Fayad - @shhh_fayad

Played on the right side, defensive specialist, and OH.

    Hanna Shelton - @Hanna_Shelton
Not sure - Valley Center (KS)
Defensive specialist and Ashlyn's old teammate!

    Mikaela Raudsepp
    6'2" - Lewis Academy (Oregon)
Listed as an outside hitter and here's a highlight tape:

According to her dad, Hannah is the shortest player ever signed by the Lady Shox volleyball team. Hannah was a stand-out forward for Valley Center's state runner up soccer team as well.

Hannah is a fighter. Size doesn't matter to her. Think Jordan on steroids attitude.

As a junior Hanna was listed at an even 5-foot. Not sure if she has grown since then or not although at her position it may not make a lot of difference. She will no doubt become a fan favorite.

There's a reason Mark Twain has always been one of my favorites:

Mark Twain — 'It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.'

However, with all due respect to Mr. Clemens me likey 6-4 and 6-5 at the net, especially if it comes in an athletic package.

I wonder if Lambo may still be waiting on an LOI before they officially announce this signing class.

Hannah's dad was my favorite high school teacher. I remember him bringing Hannah to school after she was born. She is supposed to graduate at semester, so won't be playing soccer her senior year. Excited to see 2 fellow hornets on our squad.

Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

The staff agrees with you, and there is more size on the way next season.

Rylea Kilburn - 6-4 MB, Amarillo, TX

Apparently Rylea was injured a good part of her senior season:

“Rylea has been hurt most of the season. She’s back now and is really trying to get herself involved and getting her timing down.”
One thing is for certain about the Amarillo High volleyball team: It is hard to miss them in a crowd and they certainly stand out on the court. The Lady Sandies (36-9) are heading to their first st…

According to this site Rylea was a 17-year old senior, so she still has a lot of physical maturing to go.

                Rylea's high school stats.

I couldn't find any highlight video of Rylea. Have just now looked at the highlight videos on Reagan Peare, Kara Maleksi, Shimen Fayad and Mikaela Raudsepp.

What's not to like. The 6-0 Shimen Fayad, in particular, looks very athletic and a potential 6-rotation player. Reagan Peare also looks like she has good all-around skills and could make a 6-rotation player.

I assume Gabi, like her sister Dani, was a regular participant in the Shocker VB camps and the Coaches have had a very good up close and personal look at her. Sure can't complaing about Dani and the year she has had this year.

                  The future looks bright indeed.

                      Meet Lamb's fall signing class

Wow! Reading Lamb's comments already has me excited about the future of the program. Is Lamb usually this glowing about incoming recruits?

I think is about as glowing as it gets. When you are comparing a recruit (Mikaela Raudsepp) to Emily Stockman/Emily Adney you are giving about as high praise as you can give.

And Raudsepp may not even be their top recruit in this class. Shimen Fayad looks like a tremendous player and athlete.

He is insanely high on them. If they are able to live up to all of his expectations, this class will be a force to be reckoned with.

In my recollection, the signees that Lamb has been glowing about have turned out to merit that praise. His comments about Fayad and Raudsepp remind me of the kind of expectation he had for Hooper, Feekin, and Adney, all of whom he put in an elite category coming in.
