I'm interested to see how Sami does. She's one of the youngsters that had intrigued me the most when signed.

Interestingly, HCKB said Sami, who was hyped mostly for her high school home runs, is in the starting lineup primarily for her Kaylee Huecker level defense. She does have a lot of potential at the plate but her defense is her biggest strength at this point.

A single to short, caught stealing, another single to short, and a stolen base. Clearly, teams think they can run on Lainee - or at least are going to find out if they can. A walk, lineout and two-out error load the bases. From a 2-0 count, Alison throws three straight strikes, the last a called strike three. 2-0 after one.

EDIT: The ball hit to Zoe was changed from an error to an infield single.

Not being critical, but Syd getting caught there was a terrible error, then she dropped the ball on the 2nd attempted steal. Shocks will be lucky to get out of this inning with no damage. Texas State not having a lot of trouble seeing Allison so far.
