Good to see the Shockers immediately answer the 2 spot that Villanova put on the board in the top of the 6th.

Another solid outing in the circle, this time by Alison. Again not exactly sure how to evaluate that against Kent State and Villanova.

Syd and Lalu have been all over the bases and the top half of the lineup has been getting it done on offense. However, we are not getting much at all out of the bottom 4 slots in the order.

I assume Lauren Howell will be in the circle tomorrow in the finale. I'm guessing Jessica Mullins in the circle for Texas State. Looks like a little nicer weather tomorrow. Low 60's with SSW winds at 9 mph in the forecast. Perhaps a little more hitter friendly weather.

Very solid debut by Alex Aquilar even considering Kent State is not the strongest competition. Syd and LaLu keep rolling. Addison off to a slow start. I ask again. Has someone tweaked her setup at the plate?

I didn't watch today but I did notice last night that Addie appears to have adjusted her stance. Last year the barrel of her bat pointed nearly directly at the pitcher. This year it's much farther back

Yeah, that's what I thought. Not saying that its necessarily a bad adjustment to make but it might take her awhile to get comfortable and confident with it. She did have an unconventional swing but it certainly produced some amazing results.

Right .. that's kind of my position. Its always good to be improving .. but do you really want to mess with a swing that led the NCAA in home runs and led her to an AAC Player of the Year?

No, that I know of regarding Jessica. I have a general feeling that her offense is not "better enough" to overcome defensive deficiencies at some position or another. Others may have more insight.
