Great performance! 20/20/27 against one of the very top teams (no longer #1 probably) for a rebuild team might make this a reload team. Hope there's enough left in the tank for tonight's match against the top 10 team who took down #1 Stanford. Their house will be very loud and a test for this young Shocker all by itself.

Post-match comments
A new level of opposition for our new six-row players (Tabitha and Alex named) on service and swings over the top of the block.
Girls were happy with their effort. Competed and (Mike) a growing experience.
Liked that Alex and Megan kept attacking.
Gio unhappy with herself, thought she should have dug more. Need to work on getting her back for tonight's match.
BYU will show a different level of speed (shot or movement? not clear) than Stanford.

Stanford and WVU are just starting Set 3 with Stanford steamrolling WVU so far 25-9 and 25-9 in sets 1 and 2.
Stanford finishes the sweep at 25-12 in the 3rd set.
Stanford hit .432 to -.070 for WVU.Last edited by 1972Shocker; September 1, 2018, 08:13 PM.

Obviously BYU is very, very good. They are not quite as physically imposing as Stanford although they are tall in the middle at 6-4 and 6-5. However, they are not real tall on the outside with the outside hitters that saw most of the playing time against Stanford going 6-0, 6-1, 5-10 and 5-10. They obviously are doing somehting right though. BYU does run a 5-1 attack.
However, the Shocks won't see a 6-6, 6-6, 6-4 front line that Stanford rotated into at times.
That said I just hope the Shocks can continue to play tough.

3-7 before the ship begins to steady.
Then 9-10, 12-15 and 15 all and a BYU TO.Last edited by flyingMoose; September 1, 2018, 09:19 PM.

Is there a free video feed for the game? The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

16-19 and a Shocker TO.
Good to see a rowdy student crowd.
16-21 and the second TO. Kora and Tabitha just totally missed. Jordan is now in.
Couldn't stop the bleeding. Cougars, 25-16.
.036 v .333.
Grace is best at 3-1-6 for .333.
Jones-Perry is 7-0-9 for .778.Last edited by flyingMoose; September 1, 2018, 09:29 PM.
