Yes please. We like rim protection and we could always use a lunker.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Write up from San Diego newspaper. SDSU pursuing him pretty hard.

Bryan Penn-Johnson (7-0, 215): He played JV as a freshman, was hurt as a sophomore and sat out as a junior after transferring to Wasatch Academy in Utah. “I feel like a lot of people didn’t know about me before,” he said last spring. They do know. The major recruiting services rate him a four-star prospect, and Jerry Meyer of 24/7 Sports calls him “perhaps the biggest stock raiser of summer.” Arizona is on him, as is Cal, Washington and Utah. He’s getting calls from UCLA and Kansas. The product of a 7-3 father and 6-5 mother, he can touch the rim on his tip toes with his 7-7 wingspan while displaying remarkable athleticism for his size. To their credit, the Aztecs got involved early. But the secret is out now and the big boys are showing up at his games.
"I discovered surfing, which I absolutely fell in love with. That feels good and kind of keeps your body aligned, so does the salt water." - Anthony Kiedis

"I'm not worried. Are you worried? You shouldn't be. Sleep well tonight. "

247 Sports caught up with Bryan recently. http://247sports.com/Article/Catchin...Wash-105379795

Sounds like he lost over sixty pounds within the last year. Kid has a 7'8 wingspan. He mentions KU, Arizona, Oregon, UCLA and Washington but says his recruitment is wide open. Looking to cut his list in December so he will probably be a spring signee.

The product of a 7-3 father and 6-5 mother,
I can only imagine the faces when this family sits down at the buffet table.

VC has him for 20 offers, I think it's a lot higher. I was browsing some random schools and literally every one I looked at had offered this kid. At least 10 that were not included on that Verbal Commits list of offers. The situation reminds me of Tony Bradley from Florida who (whom?) we offered early and remained in contention to get for quite a while, only to lose out unsurprisingly to a blue blood. My prediction is that he's a one and done player that gets drafted in the 1st round.

It looks like Gregg and company are making progress with Penn-Johnson. It sounds like we are in his top 3 at this time with Kansas and Washington, although things can change quickly That is exciting because he has a high ceiling and could be a game changer.

Is this the one that if we sign, KU turns us in to NCAA for investigation?
