    • Blake Brinkmeyer has committed to Indiana State. This was a name WSU was connected to several times recently but doesn't look as if we ever offered.

      • This is silly but every time I see that you have posted, I open it up thinking we've got a new, highly rated commit. I'm especially anxious on those last days of a recruits visit.

I'll go back to watching football now...

The Shocks will be replacing 6 seniors and possibly 1 or 2 underclassmen at the end of this season. 3G says he needs at least 1 of everything plus a special player.

Is there something we don't or do know about Israel Barnes that makes him not a target for us? Conjecture of the "not a WSU type of player" variety not helpful. His offers to date are low major, so maybe there is something the big boys know where the little guys are willing to roll the dice? Just seems odd for a Kansas kid of his apparent stature to have zero offers from KSU, KU, or WSU.

I could be wrong but look at who has been offering him and look at the suitors of our other recruits. He isn't good enough at this time.

Could be right. Would the recruiting services all be wrong then? Regarding stars and rank at position?

Thanks. I thought I had updated him but I guess not.

I do think it's possible that Xavier's commitment to South Florida on September 12th may be sending a little hint about how the Alex Lomax official visit to WSU in late August went.

                    • Six + scholarships to give. I believe these are our priorities. IMO, we will take the first 7 commitments from this group should we be so fortunate.

PG - Alex Lomax, Neftali Alvarez
SG - Erik Stevenson*, Jared Rhoden
WF - Keyonte Johnson, Jay Bijiek
Post - Isaiah Chandler*, Morris Udeze, Reggie Chandler, Bryan Penn-Johnson, Dimon Carrigan

                      Obviously, two have already verballed.

The following players, I believe were similarly recruited by our staff, but have decided to go elsewhere:

PG - Tyler Harris, Jared Butler, Xavier Castaneda
                      SG - Serrel Smith
                      WF - Miller Kopp
                      Post - Keenan Fitzmorris

I think there are three JuCo players we are really making a priority. Yuat Alok, Antun Maricevic and Darius Allen. Jared Rhoden is more of a three-man and Jal Bijiek is probably more of a stretch four, in my opinion.

Spot on. I might swap Isaiah Bujdoso for Neftali Alvarez now as the backup plan in case we don't get Lomax. Keyshawn Bryant and Vincent Williams also might be names that would belong as second or third options at this point.
