As a second opinion, I am hoping that AM is a good as he looks on film and paper; if so, IMO he could play <10 minutes per game in OOC games. By the start of conference play AM could be playing 20 minutes or more per game.

This article makes him sound just about the same size as Rauno... Um... Uh...
Paul S don't know nothing..........................SN says he's 7'0....it says so in the title of this thread....that settles it for me. I believe every thing I read on SN.

      • I've seen him listed as 7', 6'10", and even 7'1". I suppose he could have been measured without shoes or it could simply be out of date. At any rate it doesn't really matter as 6'10" and strong as an ox will be good enough to compete at this level.

Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

        • I remember reading that Garrett Stutz was 6-11 when he got measured again for the NBA. Maybe this guy isn't really 7' but 6-10 is as good as you can generally ask for anyway

          • There really isn't that much difference in effectiveness between 6'10" and 7'.

Just look at the job Nurger did against a number of 7'ers last season.

            • In that video on the first page, he said he was 7'1". Surely, he wouldn't be 3 inches off.

              • How did Paul come up with his measurement? Did he whip out a measuring tape and accurately measure him? Who knows?

                • I think this is the team website for the Horsholm 79ers. They report him at 209 centimeters and 110 kilos which converts to 6' 10.25" and 242.5 lbs.

But yes, you can see him listed taller and heavier on various other websites and links.

For example, this site lists him at 6-11, 264.

Personally, I am more concerned with how athletic and skilled he is than whether he is 6-10, 6-11 or 7-0 and in that regard a little lighter weight my actually be better. In terms of measurement his wing span and vertical jumping ability might be just as important.

Even his own Coach stated that he is working on getting more speed into his game, know that this is the limiting factor to his development as a player. Clearly bigger is not always better if speed is the key factor.

When it comes to length guys tend to exaggerate. Some more than others. 3" would only be 3.5%.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

                      3" would be a 50% exaggeration in my case......yes I went there

                      • Is this some weird case of Benjamin Button but instead of getting younger, Asbjorn is getting smaller? Say it ain't so!

Agreed, it is irrelevant in my opinion. What is important is that he is a true center. Not only that, but I hope he gets the opportunity to redshirt. Bigs take a little more time to mature. An extra year may not help him at the beginning, but will make all the difference in the world after that first season. Think what Paul Miller and Stutz could have accomplished during their Shocker career if only they had been able to have a redshirt year.

Not to pick nits, but I thought Miller was a redshirt?

Miller did redshirt due to injury. He arrived at WSU with the class of Randy Burns, Jamar Howard and Rob Kampman.

I believe he was injured early in his freshman season and ended up redshirting. Similar to Landry.
