That would work for Samajae who is here in Wichita or Hutchinson working on classes but for Asbjorn, who probably is in Europe, he may not be able to commute daily.

    • From what I'm seeing on Facebook, Asbjorn is on his way to the US of A at this very moment.

I have some spare change available to help get AM here before March Madness. If we create a fund to buy him an airplane ticket will the NCAA be upset?

By 2nd semester, could this be "the help for Shaq inside" that the experts are pointing to that will be needed for us to shine? Is Shaq saving is best for his Senior Season and working his tail off as I peck out this thread?

Imagine a Shocker tripod foundation with Shaq, Shamet, and MM leading the way with 10 other Shocker players able and ready to be called on anytime and every time for an awesome 2017/2018 glittering Season with a big winning streak at the end, similar but even better that last Season?
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

              • I have searched but seen no serious discussion...'Does AM redshirt or do we include him with Shaq, Rauno, Brett and Darral during our Championship run?'

Considering that McDuffie is the only front court player returning for 2018-'19, it seems likely that Midtgarrd will need some court time to be ready for a huge role in '18-'19. Minutes will be hard to find, but a red shirt year might be a luxury we can't afford.

A year to get accustomed to American rules, American food, Kansas, and all the other things to adjust to would seem like a good idea, but some D1 minutes going into '18-'19 might be a better idea.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I may be in the minority here, but I believe Asbjorn could potentially be an NBA-level talent. He will be turning 20 in September so why waste a year on the bench? Get the Great Dane some valuable minutes.

I am in your camp; I think the Great Dane will play a lot of minutes this season. And I look forward to dominant Sophomore, Junior and Senior seasons!

                      • I am guessing we see him as the 3rd head of the monster with Willis sliding over to play 4, thus allowing McDuff more time at the 3 spot.

This is my expectation...assuming he can give us anything with defense and rebounding. It would give us more matchup opportunities for Shaq, Rauno, Willis and McDuffie. I am still not sold on Willis, but he is clearly part of the puzzle for 17-18.

Willis is a good athlete that can shoot and rebound, just gotta get that footwork and defense down. I think he's gonna be fine.

Once the game slows down for him...

                              • And if Rauno keeps improving like he did last year, he is also going to be a force to be reckoned with. He's got the moves and the shooting touch, he just needs to play angry.
