  • With Confirmation that Taylor is transferring, I'm not as confident that Austin goes to Sunrise. Very good chance we see him on the floor next year.

Unless we add another player, IMO, Austin will either play or redshirt, depending on how summer and early season next year go.

TT came in with similar credentials high scoring point guard. Didn't he break some pro players high school record?
I had a strong feeling TT was asked to redshirt and refused and may have ended up at the end of the bench. There is no FVV or RB IN FRONT OF Reaves. One would think that he should have a better chance of sticking around.

I think you're probably right as far as him being asked if he wanted to redshirt. However, I'm not sure it wouldn't have been pulled anyway when FVV went down. Would've been tough to just have Ron and JRS.

              • This is interesting. I've seen it in the media and in sports forums. I think there is an unwritten rule that says you only compare white players to white players and black players to black players.

Austin Reaves has been compared to Maravich, Odum, and Papke (all white). You would think with the number of black players playing basketball, that there would be at least some that white players could be compared to.

I think compared to Maravich is good enough.

Fair criticism and interesting. I added Jason Williams in another thread. Certainly unconscious.

                    • Reminds me of Grayson Allen from Duke. Although I didn't see any trips in his highlight videos.

And please, before WuDrWu gets upset about expecting perfection from recruits, keep in mind that's just who he reminds me of. Because be can shoot, handle, and dunk. I'm not saying that's what he will be or anything else.

We did get some comparisons between Brown (black) and Papke (white), except that Papke was more skilled and Brown was more athletic.

How dare you mention those two players in the same breath! Oh my god! They're both going to crumble under the weight of your unreasonable expectations. Thanks a lot AZ Shocker. Now Marshall will really have some explaining to do about why he's recruiting two new players to replace them.

What? Why would Marshall have to explain that? Those two guys look to be a really nice backcourt for us.

I would say there is a better chance he's at WSU, but his odds of seeing him on the floor (Devlin Court) are still long.
