After watching several video highlights. Austin can definitely fill up the rim. However in d-1 he won't be facing the straight legged bunnie feet and slow defenses I saw in some of the videos.

I've seen the Jake Odum comparison thrown around quite a bit. Do you mean they look similar? I can't speak to the type of player Odum was in high school but I don't remember Indiana State Jake Odum being much of a scorer/shooter. I also don't remember Jake dunking like this kid can.

I'm just curious, what reminds you of JO? Who was a fine player, no doubt.

Here's the deal.....when he visits it needs to be a memorable experience. So memorable that he commits before his recruiting completely blows up, which it will.

I think that there are some good comparisons to Karl Papke and some differences. Similar in size and build. Both were/are athletic. Karl had good handles too but his crossover dribble and first step wasn't nearly as explosive.

I think I probably agree with you, although I kind of like the idea that Ottey is (apparently) choosing between us and VCU, two places that are revered for their toughness, tenacity, and defensive intensity. That and he's just so damn athletic. Tough call.

Yes I know "revered" may be a bit strong, but I couldn't come up with a better descriptive term.
