from nwaonline.com : "Reaves crushed the state record for most points scored in a single state tournament with 173, breaking Joe Brasel's mark of 146 set in 1960."
from leaguelineup.com: "Reaves simply did not disappoint in his final performance at the high school ranks. He was named the 3A State Most Valuable Player.
He’s an unbelievable talent, and arguably the best I have ever witnessed since I have been old enough to appreciate high school basketball
in the Northeast Arkansas area. My favorite part about Austin is that he does it with such class. He doesn’t showboat. I can’t tell you how many
high school kids with his talent or even half his talent love to showboat and act cocky. Some fans really like that. I can do without it.
I’ve had the honor of watching him play in all of his games in the Northeast Arkansas Invitational Tournament and in the state finals.
He was the same kid in every game. He scored a ton, handled massive crowds of 6500-8000 showing great confidence, and he played like a gentleman.
He’s someone kids can look up to. Honestly, the entire team plays with that same mentality. That’s a true statement to the outstanding work and
leadership of Coach Middlebrooks."Last edited by shoxilla; March 17, 2016, 06:35 PM.For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.

Shamet McDuffie Reaves Keyser Hamilton all seem to have great potential, Brown, Morris, Nurger are experienced system players, Frankamp & Allen bring key pieces to the puzzle, Smith & Willis are here to help fill gaps and leadership
