Because he knows there's going to be turmoil, people leaving, and thus lots of playing time available?

Suellentrop weighs in on Sneed (scroll down past baseball):

        From Suellentrop:
Defensive stoppers often need to be developed. That is not the case for Xavier Sneed, a senior forward at Hazelwood Central who plays summer basketball for the St. Louis Eagles.
From the President of his AAU team:
He loves it and takes pride in defending the best player on the other team,” Eagles president Tim Holloway said. “Part of it is his love for physical play. He doesn’t shy away from contact. Where ever he goes, I foresee him being a first-team all-defensive player at some point in his first couple years.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

This guy loves to play defense? He needs to commit here....like yesterday. Seems like an open and shut case. Also, given said info about defense, why in the hell is he considering Creighton?

We will have to wait for sure but we may bow out for Sneed if the news on Payton Allen is true. We have 5 available scholarships next year. With two probably given out (Allen and Conner unless something else happens), I wonder if we won't concentrate our scholarship offers on 4's, 5's, and Point Guards for the fall season.

But then again, maybe Sneed is too good to not pull the trigger. Nice problems to contemplate.

An amazing athlete that can shoot, score, and a type of player eager to expend the extra energy and efforts to guard the other teams best player to deny some of your foes fizz. Having players like Sneed and Cotton guarding you is like having a horde of engaged horse flies buzzing in your ears with no fly-swatter. It gets old real fast and can take away your focus, concentration, and tasks at hand. I really like this recruit.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

If Sneed is a SF, there's certainly a potential spot for him in WSU's next recruiting class -- I could see them trying to add a big (a C/PF -- Isaac Humphries?), a wing type, and a PG.

HCGM said they need a post and pg. That leaves room for the best available.

Creighton says he set up a visit already. Has he set up all of his visits, some of his visits, or no visits yet?

Seems odd he hasn't visited us yet. I'm assuming he will before making his decision... Has he mentioned scheduling a visit?

They must be scheduled but I haven't found it. Creighton's writter gave their specific visit date. Some time in October. A poster said they will be the 4th official visit.

Sneed put a lot of emphasis on schools needing a sg. With Allen in our camp, I'm not high on our chances.

Not to mention combo guards Frankamp and Shamet. Also, he's very high on education, and all of the other schools are more reputable in a generic sense.

Is this kind of like the Kroger brand of macaroni and cheese is more reputable than the Great Value (Walmart) brand of macaroni and cheese?
