Anton Grady 6-8 c/pf 2015, a Shocker!

FVV and RB are two reasons (as well as EW, CF and other Shocker teammates) I think he could average 14 and 8 (or better) playing for the Shockers! Anton is very unlikely to face the double teaming defenses he played against last year.

If he knows how to do a good pick and roll, it will be deadly with FVV, RB, and CF outside. You either let Grady roll down or you leave one of those 3 open outside ..

IMO Perry Ellis will watch Anton's performance next season with envy and chagrin.

I think Grady is going to be better than Carter. I'm sorry, but I just think so. And I liked Darius Carter. 14 and 8 is hard to do, people...no matter where you are.

The best Carter did was 11 and 5. The best Durley ever did was 11 and 5. The best Garrett ever did was 13 and 8. The best Hall ever did was 12.5 and 7. The best Cleanthony ever did was 16 and 6. The best Paul Miller ever did was 13 and 7. The closest guys in this comparison are Stutz and Miller. Chew on that for a second.

I get that there is a difference between Cleveland State and WSU, but 14 and 8 is still REALLY good. We haven't seen 14 and 8 from a forward in this decade.

I do not like the senior transfer rule. It feels like former teammates are being slighted. If it were to ever happen to us Shockernet would be raging.

Yes it is horrible, but there is a part of me that is enjoying seeing an MVC school DRAWING transfers instead of the other way around. I'm so tired of losing talent in this league. At least there is one program around here going in the right direction with these transfers :) I sort of hate myself for saying that.

I honestly don't see him averaging 14 ppg next season. That is more than FVV averaged this year... I would say similar ppg number to DC. They say that rebounding translates well, so hopefully he can get close to his 8 rpg. His assist, steals, and block numbers are where we are going to see a big step up over DC. He basically averages 3 times what DC did in all those categories. AND he is an all defensive player. WSU is a much better team today than it was yesterday!

Even if he's 14 and 8 capable at WSU, I doubt he gets more than 25 mpg +\- 2.

You have to remember that the numbers for both Fred and Ron were down for the first part of the year. IMO that was due to Ron and Fred deferring to the newbies and trying to bring them along as fast as they could. They gave up their scoring opportunities to try to get the new guys up to snuff as quickly as possible --- thus their numbers during the first part of the season were down from the year before. I don't look for that to happen this coming year.

As far as the senior transfer rule goes, we are very fortunate. Not only did we get a good one coming in, but we have two starters that could have left but chose to stay. Fortune is indeed smiling on WSU.
