thus proving that it is possible to xcel with that style in the game of basketball. just plant yourself like a tree, and hey, who knows what can happen in the vertical game?
Great post...sometimes we can get wrapped around the wheel about the term "rim protector." A big part of defending is on-ball performance. Grady appears to relish this, whether by design or necessity. Good get!!!

    • His highlight clip had me at hello and to me this is a huge signing. Now, just in case we were to shock the world and sign one more of the other 3 bigs we have been discussing, who would you pick? With our guards that can dish assists out with the elite, this would be an intriguing attraction to a franchise player, would it not?

I'd take the Greek kid first, the Aussie second, and the Canadian/Aussie/Sudanese third.

I'd take the big Aussie kid. He would go a long way to replacing BW & AG after this year. If we sign the Greek kid then we are over on scholarships again and someone has to go. I don't want Maker, as someone else said, he screams NCAA investigation.

            • Why can't these BIG's be like me?

If I was 18-22, 6'10' - 7'-1', was a highly sought after BB player, and could play with two of the most outstanding guards in college BB who are simply crazy to toss me the ball so I can score, I naturally would choose to be a Shocker, play for the very best coach in the land, and carry the team to the National Championship.

So why can't these guys be like me?

60Shock--we only need one more to be like you would be for now and when the dust settles, we will go find some more playa's.

My order was Georgios, Isaac, Thon. Thon was born in Sudan, recruited to Australia, and currently in Canada.

Somewhere in Northern Montana there is a 7' kid with a blonde 'fro that has only been recruited by local d-2's because they don't have Internet up there yet and it turns out he was actually an NBA prospect?

Been there done that. It could happen... And the man for the job just moved back to wichita.

                          • I'd be extremely happy with one or two. Was very high on 3 until some of you guys brought to light the problems he could bring with him.
