As a senior, he averaged 23.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He was also named the Kansas City Star and Metro Sports Player of the Year during his senior year.[1]

Prior to his senior year of high school, Burks signed with Colorado during the November 2008 signing period.[1]

Considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Burks was listed as the No. 49 shooting guard and the No. 196 player in the nation in 2009.[2]

It does seem a little early to me for anyone to make these types of assumptions/predictions with so little data to base it on. This decision wouldn't be made until the season begins after he has competed for playing time in practice. It wouldn't surprise me for no one to redshirt again. If Ron and Fred do play this year (I believe that they will), we lose two guards after this year and we will need some game experience to replace them.

          • Spindly legs. His athleticism is at a much higher level than I anticipated.

Assumptions and predictions based on little to no data or actual knowledge, and preferably prematurely but authoritatively offered as if the poster has an actual clue, are a hallmark of Shockernet. Luckily, the actual personnel decisions rest with a coach who has made WSU his "next job" step, earning a pile of $$$ in the process. He'll do what makes sense, and in the process make Shocker fans be glad he stayed.

                • Very impressive display. The kansas stars kid in two seperate photos show him looking up at a soaring Landry. The kansas stars kid epitomizes my old axiom " If you leave your feet your going to get hurt". If you can't make the shot, block or rebound on tippy toes its not worth it, :)

                    Big jumpers have skinny legs.

Camera angles mislead me sometimes, but I swear that he is up there a ways.

                        • If he can buckle down and play hard nose D, he could make the loss of Tekele less smarting.

Isn't Tyrone Taylor reputed to be a hard nosed defensive player? Of course, everyone who plays from 3G will be expected to give a strong effort on D.

No reason Landry with his length and athleticism won't be a top notch defender either. The big issue with both Landry and Tryone is that they are both a bit on the slender side so a little beefing up will be in order.
