Burks attended Grandview High School, where in 2009 he was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Missouri. As a senior, he averaged 23.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He was also named the Kansas City Star and Metro Sports Player of the Year during his senior year.[1]
Prior to his senior year of high school, Burks signed with Colorado during the November 2008 signing period.[1]
Considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Burks was listed as the No. 49 shooting guard and the No. 196 player in the nation in 2009.[2]

Very impressive display. The kansas stars kid in two seperate photos show him looking up at a soaring Landry. The kansas stars kid epitomizes my old axiom " If you leave your feet your going to get hurt". If you can't make the shot, block or rebound on tippy toes its not worth it, :)

If he can buckle down and play hard nose D, he could make the loss of Tekele less smarting.People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do. -Isaac Asimov

No reason Landry with his length and athleticism won't be a top notch defender either. The big issue with both Landry and Tryone is that they are both a bit on the slender side so a little beefing up will be in order.
