The comparison that jumps out to me based on his physique, skill evaluations, and mixtape is Stephen Curry. Both have long, slender builds; according to the evaluations that have been posted here, both have high basketball IQs, both have the ability to play both pg and sg, both have good jump shots from both deep and midrange with a quick release.

The odds of Shamet being as good a shooter as Curry are long, since Curry is elite by NBA standards, but I'd take even a poor man's Steph Curry in a hearbeat and on the surface that looks like what we might be getting to me.

Channel 12 KWCH did their usual (lately) muckraking job of reporting his signing today. They mentioned his old 3*ranking instead of the updated Rivals 4*ranking. Additionally, Jen Bates reported on their web site that he is from Blue Springs Missouri instead of Park Hill. This is just a small part of their poor reporting on Shocker news instead of being up to date. They also didn't know that he was the #87 (Top 100) ranked player.
