And it's that position I was coming from in my scathing accusation of DSB. Oh wait, I forgot about my disclaimer. Never mind that scathing accusation part.

    • But are we the public?

I would argue that most of the "public" cannot name one new person on next years team.

We are the informed few. We are the Bourgeoisie. We ARE.... MARSHALL....

      Sorry. Got carried away.

You know what I am saying. We know better. We know there is somone who is not coming. We know that Darius Carter equals number 13.

Did I say someone wasn't coming?? I meant that someone either doesn't make it, or someone else is leaving, although no one is leaving.

BTW... @RoyalShock: ... that hurt. Cut me real deep!

Sorry. I'll reduce the charge from scathing to mildly abrasive.

        All in good fun!

        • I don't know if it was his best game, but. Darius had 32 points and 21 rebounds against Lake Land College.

If that wasn't his best game, this kid is capable of putting up huge numbers.

            • HCGM keeps reminding us that he knows how to add, so I believe that all will work out well.

No, scathing is a good solid word. Don't backtrack when using scathing. It brings to mind so many images.

                • Welcome Darius!

“Darius is a post player who can score with his back to the basket, as well as facing the basket, in transition and off the glass,” Marshall said. “He comes from Vincennes, which had a great year under coach Todd Franklin. His family possesses a tremendous basketball pedigree. Darius is a outstanding young man who will fit in well with the newcomers and the returning players.”

WICHITA, Kan. ? Sixth-year head coach Gregg Marshall has announced the signing of Darius Carter to a National Letter-of-Intent to play men's basketball at Wichita State beginning with the 2013-14 season.

Between Darius' cuz and Nick's bro, Mom and Dad, we compete with Michigan for famous family and basketball pedigree.

Also, I believe Evan's Dad and GP were famous WSU alum and Tekele's Mom played collegiately.

In a rhetorical sense, scathing can be thought of as scorched earth. Or blistering.

when the game announcers mentioned nick (and andrew) wiggins during the louisville game (final four), some hairs must have been stood on end across the basketball following parts of the country.

                            Me 2.

My favs are Double V, Nick and Darius.

I have a gut feeling that Darius could be a stud for us, either in the second half of next season or the following season. I hope his FT makes improved some. Say to the upper 60s or so.

                            • Confirmation of Darius being a cousin to Maverick Carter, Lebron James' business manager. He is not related to Lebron, but Lebron is like a family member to Darius.
