“He shoots it well,” Franklin said. “He runs really well. He’s good with his back to the basket. He can score over either shoulder.”"Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should accomplish with your ability."

From the video I watched of the Juco tournament, it also appears that he is willing to pass the ball from the post, which is often not the case in Junior College where there is a priority on getting shots up. I saw him both pass the ball back out to repost and pass from the post to a cutter. These are things that many Juco players don't come in used to doing, so that should help his transition to D1."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

For me that wasn't too impressive. The dunks were nice, but all I saw was a complete lack of a second move in the post. All he has is a quick turn to the inside for a hook/layup. The only time he didn't do that was when he had an open lane to the bucket. That lack of a complementary move makes me worry about him as a back-to-the-basket scorer. He does look like he could be a great high-post type especially against the obnoxious number of zones we see in the valley. He needs to get some kind of second move this offseason to become an effective low-block scorer. He won't quicker/stronger than every post he sees at this level.

Originally posted by The Mad Hatter View PostIf you check out the opening seconds of the video, it starts with him making one of his inside moves for the baby hook. The next play (starting at about the 8 second mark), he is facing the same defender in the same spot. He feels the guy shading him to that inside move and spins baseline instead for the layup. Will he need to do more of this at the next level? Sure, but it was there. Plus his coach has already noted that he can score over either shoulder, so along with the mid-range game that he showed and the ability to pin a defender, I think the video showed a pretty solid skill set.
I wonder how good of a passer he is from the post. With his ability to pin his man and seal hard he could get the ball a lot inside. If he can kick out to the opposite side to shooters he will be real dangerous in the post.
