Right now, for point guards, I would like to get:
1) Reggie Chamberlain 1st (3 year player), or
Bryan Sherrer 2nd (2 year player).
2) Would also like to get Will Weathers (4 year player).
3) Still think we need 6'9" PF, but would defer to 6'7" Chop Tang if no better
candidate.
And I think Ellis may play the 4 spot some this next year depending on who else we recruit.
What are we going to do if the 16th passes and noone commits? Worse yet, the 17th and 18th (Thurs and Friday) with no commits?

I am just anxious for the last half of the week to get here. I just don't feel the team is 'set' for next year yet, and just anxious for the last pieces of the puzzle to be added.
What is the official date the recruits can report to campus? I thought they could report in the June 15th to June 23rd range even if they were just going to be enrolled for the fall semester.
I do not understand our interest in SF's as much as has been indicated. With Hawkins/Griskenas/Ellis that will probably all get 3 time, I wouldn't think we would need a SF recruit. A PF yes, but not a SF. If Ellis adds pounds, he could get some 4 time too.

Hawkins will play a lot of minutes at the 3. Coach has said that Griz doesn't have the foot speed to guard most of the 3's in our conference. Ellis will spend some time at both, but coach really wants him to develop into a 4, that can step out and knock down the 18 to 20' jumpshot and open up the middle for Stutz and Ehimen.

Ellis will play both. Griz not as much. He'd be the third in that rotation there.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Well, converting Griskenas and Ellis to 4's, may or may not work out. 6'7" is on the shy side for a 4, especially one(s) that don't carry much weight. Durley and Clemente can handle it because they are not on the slendar side, but Gris and Ellis might not be able to hold their 4 position very well.
6'7" at the 4 will be a problem in Post season play, or the Big Dance unless they can jump over the basket.
Besides, Clemente and Durley pretty well fill up a 4 spot with the minutes.
Gris was mentioned as being able to play facing or his back to the basket, but Ellis is just used to playing facing the basket.
I just don't see our need for a SF (3) with Hawkins, Gris, and Ellis available for that postion. If Orukpe doensn't make it, we will need another 5 man, or at least a 4/5 man that is 6'8" or taller. And good luck on finding a decent one after the spring signing is over.
