Wichita State, Kansas. Columbia, Harvard and many Valley schools have shown "peliminary interest" in Jackie Carmichael, a 6-9, 225 lb. junior center out of Manhattan (KS) High School. Since this article, Carmichael had a career night, scoring 22 with 13 rebounds against Seaman. This game raised his season averages to 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks per game.

A 3.5 gpa explains Harvard and Coumbia's attention.

He will be playing against Chris White-Ready tonigt. Chris has been offered by UMKC. He scored 40 against Wichita East.

It is interesting that KSU isn't showing at least preliminary interest while KU and WSU are. Guess Huggy figures he doesn't fit into his needs. Wonder why???
